Today’s Faces of Parenting: Sarah Lahbati-Gutierrez
Sarah Lahbati-Gutierrez juggles life as a wife, mother, and actress. Most importantly, she instills the importance of respect for her two sons.

Sarah Lahbati is one busy woman. Aside from her current projects with Viva Entertainment, she also runs her blog, is a hands-on mom to Zion and Kai, and travels frequently. When asked about her favorite places, however, she prefers to keep things close to home — literally. “My favorite place in the world aside from the Philippines is, of course, Switzerland,” she shares. “I grew up skiing in the winter and swimming in the lake [during the] summer. I have so many beautiful memories from Geneva with my husband and kids and as a kid myself.”
Despite this fast-paced lifestyle, she always finds ways to incorporate self-care and “slow living,” which no doubt adds to her already unique brand of beauty. “I’m so grateful that we’re all able to travel again, but what the pandemic has taught me is to cherish every moment. To enjoy the little things,” Sarah says.
Aside from this, she also makes sure she includes other practices, like good skincare. For Sarah, after all, pouring love into one’s self is key to “love and give as much as we want to,” especially as a mother. “Self-care starts with you,” she says. “In terms of skincare, I make sure I keep my face clean of makeup before bed. I cleanse [twice] a day, moisturize, and use sunscreen.”
It’s especially important as a mom of two boys. When asked how she teaches them the importance of respect and courtesy towards women, Sarah says she does so through her actions. “They see how I treat the women in my life with admiration and love and of course, they see it with Richard’s actions towards me,” she shares. “I always remind them that kindness and respect are important qualities to have forever.”
Indeed, an apt answer from someone who emanates love from the inside out.
