Mom-to-be Trina Legaspi recently released a few photos from her floral-themed maternity shoot, courtesy of Nice Print Photo, Concept Space MNL, and Amelia Blossoms. Central Color: Dusty Rose

Every maternity shoot has at least one central color. And for Trina Legaspi, who is also expecting a baby girl, it looks like she picked Dusty Rose. This shade of pink is a lot easier on the eyes and doesn’t fight for the spotlight with Trina. Moreover, it leans towards a more “earthy” side of the spectrum to fit the natural look.

Flower Used: Roses

Dusty Rose works well with pink roses. But roses — especially Ecuadorian Roses — are preferred in designs since they look big on camera. The blooms, with their more saturated pink color, make the other light-colored flowers such as the orchids and carnations “pop out” from the flower wall behind Trina without making the dull gray-green fillers look out of place.

Playful but fluffy structure

A feminine look often has something more flowing, smooth, and opaque—like silk and satin. But stylist Yvonne Camay’s playful use of peach pink tulle creates the ethereal and feminine ensemble that Trina Legaspi wanted for her shoot.
