Your Home Away From Home: Fall in Love with the Rustic Charms of The Lily
Nestled within the heart of Lian, Batangas City, The Lily is a rustic abode that promises a serene and immersive experience.
Welcome to The Lily—your home away from home—located in the quiet city of Lian, Batangas. This beautiful property features rustic views, which pay homage to the owners’ mother, Lilia—honoring her calm and captivating persona. It’s an intimate hideaway that’s ideal for families and large groups. It even comes with a spacious outdoor area where guests can lounge on the sunbeds, feast at the outdoor dining area, or take a plunge in the enormous pool.
A three-hour drive from the city will bring you to The Lily. It’s a property with a calm space and lush greenery all around. And when you walk into the house, you won’t feel like you’re in a fancy resort or just another beach house. Instead, you’ll feel right at home.
An Immersive and Inviting Experience
In The Lily, you are encouraged to disconnect from the modern world and reconnect with loved ones or even yourself. There are no TVs or even WiFi. However, there is good cell reception for emergencies), so you can fully immerse yourself in the now.
Take time away from your gadgets to enjoy relaxing walks on the beach. Read a book on the sunbed while enjoying the gentle Batangas breeze. Or simply sit around the quaint living spaces—talking about everything under the sun with your loved ones.
Decked out in neutral tones with splashes of vibrant color here and there, the interiors can be described as contemporary but with a modern flair. Most of the furniture is made of wood, which gives it a traditional feel. But the large windows and metal light fixtures modernize the space. And from the multitude of beautiful pieces spread out around the home, it’s clear that the family who owns it are lovers of art.
There are five rooms at The Lily. And each one is warm and inviting—making you feel at ease and relaxed as soon as you sink into the mattress. What’s more, the terrace room even has access to a veranda that overlooks the lovely outdoor pool area and gazebos.
The Lily: Your Second Home
Whether you are an early riser who wants to do laps in the pool or a person who wants to make the most of vacation and sleep in every single day, you are welcome to do both at The Lily!
The kitchen is the heart of any home, and at The Lily, you have the option of cooking your meals. Or, having their lovely caretakers Grace and Allan cook delicious meals for you. (We highly recommend this option!) Shop for your ingredients in the nearby market for the freshest meat and produce. Then, eat indoors or have a lovely picnic spread at the outdoor gazebo.
While you’re at it, you can even enjoy good food and drinks while watching the sky change from blue to pinkish-orange. It’s the ideal way to spend time with those you love.
Take a refreshing dip in the pool to help you beat the heat! The pool is large enough to accommodate children who want to jump in and out of the water, as well as adults who want to relax while sipping a beverage. But don’t get too wild, though! The Lily has some house rules that all guests must follow. This is in order to ensure that future guests (i.e. you when you return) can enjoy the property just as much as current ones.
However, if you don’t want to jump in just yet, there are plenty of other things to do! Relax on one of the many sunbeds, read a good book, snack, or even take a nap. There’s even a volleyball court next to the pool for those who want to get some exercise!
Videoke is a part of Filipino culture, and it is also a popular weekend pastime in Lian. Give it a try and belt out some tunes. Simply let their caretakers know so they can rent one for you!
Fun at the Beach
If you don’t want to spend your entire stay at the property, you can exit through the back door, walk for a minute or so, and you’ll be at the beach! And while the beach at Lian may not be as popular as the ones in Boracay or Palawan, you’ll notice and appreciate the neighborhood community’s efforts to keep the beach clean. They encourage tourists and locals alike to pick up after themselves.
Floating cottages—known as Balsa in Tagalog—are a common sight on Lian’s beach. A grill, a covered dining area, and wooden beds are common features of these floating structures. You can ask Grace or Allan to make arrangements so you can rent one for the day. Prices vary from PHP 1,500 to PHP 3,000, depending on the size of the Balsa and the season.
A testament to the popularity of these floating cottages is the sheer number of them anchored to the shore—enjoyed by tourists and locals alike. It’s ideal for any beach day. It allows you and your family to spend the entire time in the water, grilling meat or freshly caught seafood for lunch, and swimming the day away.
Whether you are a family, a group of friends, or even a company going on a retreat, The Lily is the perfect venue to make memories and strengthen relationships. Book your stay today!
