Jodi Sta. Maria Wins Best Actress at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2022
Jodi Sta. Maria wins the Best Actress Award for her role as Dr. Jill Ilustre in the Broken Mariage Vow at the Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore.
One of our own was recently recognized on the international scene! Jodi Sta. Maria won the Best Actress Award for her role as Dr. Jill Illustre in the Broken Marriage Vow at the Asian Academy Creative Awards. The awards night took place in Singapore last Thursday, December 8.
Jodi Sta. Maria personally accepted the Best Actress award. Dreamscape Entertainment Head, Deo Edrinal, accompanied her.
The role that made her win
Dimples Romana, who was also in attendance, shared a special message for Jodi whom she considers one of the actresses she looks up to. Dimples was one of the members of the jury.

In 2021, it was announced that Jodi would play the role of Dr. Jill Ilustre in the Philippine adaptation of BBC’s Doctor Foster. The show aired in early 2022.
Speaking to Modern Parenting in February, Jodi admitted that the role was one of the most challenging. This is given that they had to do lock-in taping at the height of the pandemic.
“It is quite challenging. Especially the lock-in we did for The Broken Marriage Vow. It was probably the longest,” she said.
Jodi is currently promoting the movie Labyu with an Accent, where she plays the leading lady of Coco Martin. The film is one of the eight entries to the Metro Manila Film festival happening from December 25, 2022, to January 7, 2023.
