Most grandmothers want a quiet birthday. But not this grandma! Meet 70-year-old Syra Garcia, Coleen Garcia’s grandmother, who wanted a boudoir photo shoot for her birthday. Her granddaughter was only too happy to oblige with a shoot by MetroPhoto, screaming confidence and wisdom, even rocking her silver hair in an asymmetric bob.

Boudoir: a woman’s room to relax
The French word “boudoir” describes a beautifully decorated room where a woman just lets loose. And this shoot captured exactly that. Syra Garcia confidently wore a loose black polo to cover her body and held a cigarette.
She also rocked her age in two hairstyles: one with long white hair and the other, a silver-blue bob. Both of which looked amazing as she openly showed her tattoos.
Coleen: “Happy Birthday, Tata!”
Affectionately known as “Tata” to her granddaughter, Syra also received a heartfelt letter penned by Coleen Garcia as a caption to her shoot.
“Happy 70th birthday to this badass woman! Thank you for teaching me—for continuing to teach me—what it is to be strong, confident, and empowered. I love you, and I will forever be grateful for everything! ✨ @syragarcia8,” wrote Coleen.
