Jonas Brothers and TXT’s New Song Tells Families: Do It Like That!

The Jonas Brothers just dropped a song in collaboration with TXT and we’re all for it!

It’s been a while since we last heard from the Jonas Brothers — but they just dropped a song collaborating with K-Pop Group TXT (Tomorrow x Together) — “Do It Like That!” The song debuted a few days ago, racking up to 15 million views on YouTube and 3.6 million plays on Spotify. Unlike the pop-rock that the boys have been releasing back then, the new song sports a jovial and upbeat tune that’s perfect for a long drive for families.

This is the first song with the two bands collaborating, debuting it as a Single and not part of an album.

Do the Jonas Brothers still sing?

In an interview last May with USA Today, the Jonas Brothers revealed that their latest album known as “The Album” will focus more on their perspectives as fathers. It’s interesting to note that all three brothers are girl dads: Kevin Jonas has two daughters with Danielle, Joe also has two with Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, and Nick has a daughter with Priyanka Chopra.

“I think it’s like a thing where (before) one of us was out on a boat or something and the other was home with kids. There was a clear difference in what our realities are on an everyday basis,” says Nick, 30, during the interview with USA Today. Now, he adds, “There’s a better understanding and awareness of where we’re all at, and that’s totally reflected in the music.”

The Album has 12 songs, reflecting the influences of the Bee Gees and the Eagles on the Jonas Brothers’ music. According to Spotify, the fan-favorites include Wings, Waffle House — both of which were released before the album’s debut, and Summer Baby.

TXT: “An exciting experience!”

With the song immediately topping the charts during the week, TXT couldn’t be happier with the results. In an interview with Soompi, each of the five members even dropped their favorite moments of the song, citing how fun it was to work with the Jonas Brothers.

“I grew up listening to the Jonas Brothers’ music, so I couldn’t believe that we were collaborating like this,” shares Yeonjun.

All of TXT describes the song as one to listen to while taking a “summer drive.” It hopes to capture the joys of summer and all the new things to try. And for families planning their vacations, it could be an upbeat tune to help hype up the trip!

“I recommend listening to it when you go on a trip with your friends or when you want to remember happy times!” recommends Huening Kai.

With the chorus that catchy, what’s not to love? It’s quite different from their more popular songs like 0X1 = LOVESONG (I Know I Love You). They also released a new song, “Devil By The Window” four months ago.

It’s time for families to “Do It Like That!”

With summer and the holidays almost coming to an end (or perhaps starting for others), there’s no better time than the present to book that staycation. Whether it’s within or beyond the metro, there’s just a lot of things that maybe we should — as the Jonas Brothers and TXT sing — “do it like that.” Life’s too short to worry about the upcoming school year. Time to build some happy family summer memories before the grind!
