Modern Parenting cover star Zeinab Harake just shared on Sunday, July 7 a vlog of the proposal of her now fiancè, basketball player Ray Parks Jr., revealing that she’s now engaged.
Ray also shared a short video reel with the caption: “Ain’t playin’ with your heart ‘cause that’s too much to lose.”
In the video, Ray was seen talking to Zeinab’s family and friends who he asked permission for her hand in marriage. They also showed scenes of preparations for the proposal.
Later, Ray was shown ushering Zeinab in the place, and realizing what was about to happen started to become emotional.
Ray to Zeinab: Will you marry me?
During the proposal, One of the first things Zeinab asked was where her kids were and Ray answered they were around.
Quoting a verse from the Bible, Ray said he is truly grateful to call her his best friend, lover, and supporter.
“You and the kids are my home. And I can’t imagine life without you all. That said, I brought all of our friends, family, and loved ones to bear witness and ask you one thing,” he recited.
“Zeinab Harake, would you make me the happiest man in the world? Will you marry me?” he asked. In between her emotions, Zeinab eventually said yes.
Zeinab’s kids went to her after the proposal and the family celebrated as they watched the fireworks.
And one of the most emotional moments in the video? Zeinab’s dad cried, telling Ray he was lucky to have his daughter in his life.
