WATCH: Spider-Man: Brand New Day Drops Its Final Trailer!

As Avengers: Doomsday approaches this coming December 18, 2026, Spider-Man: Brand New Day drops its final trailer to set the stage up for the upcoming multiverse reunion

For those who watched Spider-Man: No Way Home, the weight of his sacrifice is heartbreaking. With the help of Dr. Strange, he protects the multiverse, but in exchange—his entire world forgets him. From his best friend, Ned Leeds, to his girlfriend, Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, he lives alone. It’s as he says in the new trailer that’s hyping everyone for Spider-Man: Brand New Day this coming July 31, 2026: he “bears the weight of the truth” of who he is and what he has done.

However, in the latest Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer, he finds out that Dr. Strange’s spell isn’t as “absolute” as he believes it is. In the movie, he comes in contact with a government official who senses something “off” about the world they’re currently living in.

What We Can Infer From The Trailer

While the trailer showcased many scenes from the former movies akin to a flashback, it appears that he’ll be facing not just one, but several adversaries once again. He encounters The Hulk, who no longer responds to the name “Bruce Banner.” A villain from the classic comic books, Scorpion (played by Michael Mando), makes an appearance. He also appears to be fighting several samurai. According to IMDB, Spider-Man will be fighting against two samurai adversaries: Silver Samurai and Viper.

As Spider-Man is from the Marvel universe, it’s no surprise he’s being subjected to the strange and forever-changing rules of the multiverse.

Spider-Man: No Way Home became such a hit because it brought back memes and nostalgia. Older millennials will remember growing up with Tobey Maguire as their Spider-Man, especially since he didn’t have a webshooter, unlike Andrew Garfield’s and Tom Holland’s versions. Later millennials and early Gen Z grew up with Andrew Garfield, who won people over with his mellower disposition. Today’s generation has Tom Holland—the one who follows the more “friendly neighborhood Spider-Man” persona.

So what does Spider-Man: Brand New Day bring? Based on the trailer, it’ll be several villains from various universes and possibly allies who may be from another universe as well. However, some of us may be crossing our fingers as Spider-Man reunites with two of his most important people, as they are now being targeted by association with him.

It Truly Is A “Brand New Day”

Spider-Man’s become a classic among us because of what he’s gone through. He’s lost loved ones, made hard decisions, and tries to see the best in everybody—even when there’s not much to see.

What makes it even more relatable is his living with the consequences of vigilantism and his superhero gig. Most superheroes often swoop in to save the world and rarely mention the price. In this case, it’s not something that disables him. It chips away at him. Without Aunt May, MJ, and Ned, he truly is “alone”—especially when he reluctantly decides to keep his distance from MJ and Ned to keep them safe.

But one thing’s for sure: that decision is about to give him another set of consequences. It may even make him completely rescind his earlier decision to stay away. Guess we’ll only find out in Philippine theaters this coming July 31, 2026.
