Billy and Colleen celebrate Amari Garcia Crawford’s first birthday!
Last we heard from Billy Crawford and Colene Garcia-Crawford, it was when their son was born via water birth. Today, nothing brings the singer and songwriter and actress and host more joy than being able to celebrate Amari Garcia Crawford’s first birthday. In a simple but heartwarming Instagram post, Coleen writes, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMARI! We will never stop covering you in prayers and showering you with love, our beautiful baby boy.” In her post, she adds a loving message of wisdom that Amari could look back when he gets older.
A ray of sunshine and hope
The year flew by so fast for Coleen and Billy when they realized that little Amari Crawford was already turning one. In a teaser post for his birthday, Coleen adds a hashtag #amariturnsone and we’re all ready to offer her a digital tissue as she cries with joy when the realization sunk in that he was already going a year old.
Because of the physical constraints to having a big party for Amari, Coleen and Billy celebrate with a simple photo of them together with their son. In her IG post, she writes, “You [Amari] have been our sunshine and ray of hope. We celebrate your life today and every day! Even though you didn’t really get to go around, meet people, and explore much of the outside world during your first year, we still found all kinds of ways to enjoy and live our best life together. And our hearts are always full.”

Celebrating our kids’ first birthday will always be an unforgettable experience. It’s also a day we celebrate our first year as parents and that there’s a wonderful journey waiting ahead. Although Amari may still not be able to fully understand how much Billy and Coleen love him, we’re sure that he’ll see the IG post when he’s much older. Happy 1st Birthday, Amari Craword!
