Beauty Queen Sharifa Akeel Reveals Her Baby’s Gender With A Pop
Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 winner Sharifa Akeel reveals her baby’s gender.
On her Instagram, Sharifa Akeel and her husband, former congressman Toto Magundadatu revealed that they’re expecting a baby girl with the traditional balloon-popping gender reveal. It was a quiet and intimate one; one with a few technical difficulties when the balloon simply refused to pop. Once it did, the pink confetti exploded inside the balloon, revealing that they were expecting a baby girl.
A Quiet Announcement
Sharifa Akeel first announced that she and her husband were expecting when she was already 25 weeks pregnant, posting a picture of her and her husband together in what appeared to be a studio shot with her growing baby bump.
“We have been keeping a little secret, and we couldn’t wait to announce this to all of you! As many of you already guessed, we are EXPECTING our first baby,” she wrote. “Alhamdulillah! All good, grateful and happier than ever. 🤍 #25weeks”
Her announcement earned congratulations from her fellow queens in the beauty pageant community including 2011 Mutya ng Pilipinas International soon-to-be mom Vickie Rushton, Miss Earth 2022 Stephany Stefanowitz, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International ’20 Samantha Bernardo, Miss Global 2022 Shane Tormes, and newly sworn-in lawyer and former beauty queen Eva Patalinjug.
