Bogart The Explorer Returns To School
Bogart, real name Marco Antonio Ho shared he is returning to school to fulfill his dream of getting a degree
Life has many detours and the decision especially returning to school can be quite a challenge for many. YouTube and online sensation Bogart the Explorer knows this well as he shared on his social media accounts that he is back in school to fulfill of getting a degree.
Bogart or Marco Antonio Ho shared that he enrolled in Caraga State University to take up BS Agroforestry.
Returning to School
Now in his 40’s, Bogart wrote that he was once a student at the University of the Philippines as a DOST scholar but back then there were other plans.
“I once spent six years at UP Diliman as a scholar, chasing a degree in Industrial Engineering. But life had other plans, and I left before crossing that finish line. Today, I’m an undergrad studying BS Agroforestry at Caraga State University, with a new purpose: to build a sustainable future for my community,” he shared on August 16.
“Age is just a number, and learning is a lifelong journey. If you’re holding back because you think it’s too late, I’m here to tell you it’s not. Don’t let fear keep you from your dreams. Whether you’re 20 or pushing 50, the best time to learn and grow is now.”
Bogart added it was about a diploma anymore for him but making a difference.
Unsure of returning to school
In a longer post on Facebook, Bogart wrote that there was a time he was not even sure if he would go back to school at all when he decided to take the exam again.
Recalling that moment, Bogart shared: ” I scrambled to find old college entrance exam reviewers—the same ones I used for the UPCAT—and buried myself in them for two days. Exam day came, and I was the second person to arrive that morning, my nerves buzzing as I waited to start the test.”
“Two hours later, I handed in my exam, and we were told we’d get the results that afternoon, thanks to a computerized system. My heart pounded as I saw my score: 118 out of 170. At first, I thought I had failed, but then I was told that that was more than enough to pass.”
He initially thought of giving up but was surprised on how things have played.
“To anyone standing on the edge of a decision, unsure whether to leap—just go for it. Take the step, even if you’re scared. You might find that the path is clearer than you imagined.”
Who Is Bogart the Explorer?
Bogart first rose to fame on YouTube and is known for taking inspirations from the late Australian Steve Irwin. In 2019, Bogart shared photos of how he shed his weight, saying his eldest daughter named Music was his inspiration.
In 2020, he became a father again to a daughter named Moon.
Like other celebrities who went back to school, Bogart is a proof that if he can do it, other parents who were not able to finish can finish their education.
