Coffee Shops In Makati Working Parents Will Appreciate
When we’re in the lifestyle hub that is Makati, here are some of the coffee shops we’ve discovered that meet our standards.
Makati, as one of the lifestyle hubs in Metro Manila, has a lot of restaurants and coffee shops to try out. Usually, these coffee shops are in places like Salcedo Village and Poblacion — which have become the food streets of the bustling city. But there are some in the malls which we’ve tried that are relaxing and delicious too!
Here are some of the coffee shops we’ve already tried so you won’t have to worry about finding a good cup of coffee in Makati.

1. Good Cup Coffee
This Cebuano-owned coffee shop shares a space with Spotted Pig and has earned the hearts of Makati’s citizens with its coffee, brightly lit blue and white interior, and heartwarming breads and pastries. Good Cup Coffee offers the classics but with various beans from both the international and local scene, serving a piping hot cup with the delicate pour-over method to bring out the smooth and rich flavor of the coffee beans.
We suggest that while buying yourself a cup of their Cold Black Brew, do indulge yourself with one of Spotted Pig’s Torta de Cebuanas. It’s the Cebuano version of Mamon with a milder sweetness and saltiness for those who don’t have a sweet tooth.
Good Cup Coffee is at 109 Esteban, Legazpi Village, Makati, 1229 Kalakhang Maynila.

2. The Curator Coffee and Cocktails
Coffee shop by day, bar by night, this little nook in Legazpi Village, Makati highlights the use of local beans in their caffeinated creations. Some of their coffee creations even pay tribute to beloved Filipino classics such as their signature Champorado Latte.
As one of the favored places where baristas can showcase their skills, The Curator Coffee and Cocktails will always have an event where they can try exclusive creations for those who are looking for something new.
The Curator Coffee and Cocktails is at 134 Legazpi Street, Legazpi Village, Makati, Kalakhang Maynila. It’s a little small so it can be easy to miss. Once you reach the end of Legazpi Street, it should be on your right.

3. Tsokolateria
Located in Greenbelt, a mall popular around Makati, Tsokolateria is a restaurant that qualifies as a coffee shop since it serves both savory and sweet dishes with its coffee. They also have second-wave coffee creations which use a lot of syrups, and chocolates from the local scene. But what we love there is their Tsoko-Barako which marries the richness of Philippine tableya with the barley-flavored Barako coffee which they mix using a batirol.
And to make the most out of that experience, do try their Leche Flan Croissant or their Kesong Puti Croissant. It’s worth dipping their bread into the creations too!
Tsokolateria is currently at 2/F Greenbelt Dr, 5, Makati, 1228 Metro Manila.
4. Mentoré Café + Bar by UCC
Nestled in the heart of the bustling Glorietta Malls compound, Mentoré Café + Bar by UCC offers silence and alfresco dining to those who are tired of the buzzing inside the mall. The coffee shop’s signature creations include their Sumiyaki Coffee which is a creation that roasts the beans on top of charcoal to give it that unique and smoky flavor. They serve that recipe either iced or hot too!
Mentoré Café + Bar by UCC is at Palm Dr, San Lorenzo, Makati, Metro Manila. It shares its parking with the Glorietta Malls.

5. Antipodean Coffee Roasters
This coffee shop in Legazpi Village, Makati offers creations based on Southeast Asian coffee beans. Using the beans from Indonesia and Timor, their creations even use a kind of espresso roast known as the summer blend which offers a more fruity flavor compared to the typical arabica beans. They even have the citrusy Savasana Lemon which combines the tart-sweetness of lemon with the bitter-fruitiness of coffee.
Antipodean Coffee Roasters is 111 Paseo de Roxas, Legazpi Village, Makati, 1129 Metro Manila.

6. Agkafetta
Highlighting the coffee beans from the northern local scene, this little hole-in-the-wall in Olympia, Makati brings down the nutty and fruity rich flavors from the Cordillera region’s coffee beans. While it does look a little more minimalist than the formers, their coffees are still a hit among experienced and new coffee drinkers.
Some of the flavors that fly with younger coffee drinkers include their mildly sweet Dirty Horchata Latté.
Agkafetta is at 9675 Pililla, Makati, 1208 Metro Manila.

7. Ya Kun Kaya
Enjoy coffee the Singaporean way at Ya Kun Kaya as they serve both coffee creations and toasted bread with sweet or savory toppings. Located at Makati’s One Ayala Mall, this coffee shop delights its diners with its Milo Toast and its signature Kopi which they serve with hot milk. This coffee shop is the place to stop after a long, hectic commute from north to south when using the MRT.
Ya Kun Kaya is at 1, Ayala Tower One, 2nd floor, InterContinental Manila, 1226 Ayala Ave, Makati, Metro Manila.
We’re still updating this directory of coffee shops in Makati!
Considering it’s also one of the business centers in Metro Manila besides Ortigas, coffee shops should be sprouting up at almost every corner in Makati. Sometimes when the usual haunts like Starbucks, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Tim Hortons, and J.Co fill up, we’ll have to be a little more adventurous. They may not have parking but, these places are definitely worth the walk!
