Delicious Marinated Meats for Last-Minute Meals

Whether it’s for a party or just family dinner and there was nothing planned, here are some marinated meats that can save the day

Picture this: a long stressful day and for some unknown reason, nobody thought about defrosting meat from the freezer. Thus with the meat frozen solid like a rock, we’ll just have to run to the supermarket and grab something marinated and prepared. Not only do these marinated meats save on prep time, they’re quite tasty too! Here are some of the marinated meats that can help save meal time.

1. Magnolia Chicken Timplado Cheesy Tenders

It’s fried chicken with cheese; what’s not to love? With the chicken already marinaded in spices and cheese, all we have to do is toss it in the prepared cheese and bread crumbs. The recipe is also pretty air-fryer friendly. If we’re looking for a way to not wash the whole appliance, just add some foil or a silicon tray to catch the crumbs!

2. Magnolia Chicken Timplado Inasal

If the family is planning a beach vacation where they do their own cooking, don’t forget to grab the marinated Chicken Inasal from Magnolia. Marinated in the beloved sweet tangy Inasal sauce, all it needs now is that charcoal grill to give it that smoky flavor that every family craves for whenever they bite into it. Don’t forget to bring some extra soy sauce, chili, and calamansi to bring out its flavors.

3. Fisher Farms Bistek Bangus Belly

Fish isn’t always marinated but when it is, it creates a meaty flavor that can fool even the most picky of red meat eaters. Fisher Farms offers the beloved Bistek recipe but styled for pescetarians with slabs of premium deboned bangus belly. All it needs is some slices of onions to stir-fry with and it’s ready to eat with some freshly cooked white rice.

Some even elevate it further by adding sweetened vinegar to make it Adobong Bangus Belly steak.

4. Nanang’s Beef Tapa

Nothing says breakfast like Beef Tapa. The problem is that marinating beef — especially if it’s a thick cut — takes time. Luckily, Nanang’s is here to save the day with pre-marinated beef tapa. Yes, we know Tapa is for breakfast. But there are days the family wants breakfast foods for dinner. Who are we to say no if it’s already prepped and ready for cooking?

5. The Good Meat Marinated Pork BBQ Belly

Another favorite among Filipinos, pork BBQ belly is usually a go-to especially when we just want something simple with a cup of plain rice served with a side order of atsara. Unfortunately, similar to beef, pork BBQ belly takes time to make if we intend to do so from scratch. In some cases, if not marinated properly, the pork belly can become tough also.

At least with The Good Meat Marinated Pork BBQ Belly, all we need to do is slap it on a grill and cook it for our favorite inihaw-style Liempo.

Marinated meats save time and meals!

One of the most frustrating things about cooking is just how essential it is to marinate meat for long periods of time. Especially if it’s a thick cut or a dense piece of meat, it’s not something that we can just let sit for five minutes. That’s not long enough to have the flavors sink in. Worse, we sometimes need something fast so that the family can eat. So, in case nobody’s in the mood to go out and eat, having marinated meats in stock can ensure a delicious meal with little effort.
