Signs of COVID-19

In a video posted on his verified Facebook page, the GMA actor narrated how he and his family possibly got it. Prior to getting COVID-19, he managed to get a booster shot.

(We’ve observed that many people around were not feeling well. Almost everyone we knew had positive cases at home. Until many of us at home started getting sick and getting symptoms.)

Dantes said that all members at home took the test and confirmed the news: they all tested positive for COVID-19.

Although they were not sure how they got it, all of them he said are thankful that the symptoms were mild.

Following protocols

After testing positive, Dantes said that he and those who got COVID-19 followed the necessary protocols including eating healthy food. Mobility around the house however became a challenge.

(It was difficult for us to buy medicine, prepare, and buy food. And I must say that we were able to overcome this with the help of people close to us.)

His mom he said were able to send food for him and the kids as well as his wife Marian Rivera’s talent management, who was able to send fruits. Dantes also thanked the Office of the Vice President, whose staff was able to send them a COVID care testing kit that includes all the medicines they need.

Dingdong Dantes on COVID-19: “Nothing to be ashamed of”

With the ongoing surge of COVID-19 cases, Dantes reminded everyone that there’s nothing to be ashamed of on testing positive for the virus.

(It’s not a sin or nothing to be ashamed of getting COVID. Because no matter how you take care of yourself the danger is still there to get it. So we should all double our efforts to make sure to have ourselves vaccinated, get our booster shot as well as our loved ones.)

“Bukod sa dagdag na proteksyon na binibigay sa mga katawan natin, s’yempre nalalayo pa tayo sa malalang sitwasyon kung tayo’y man matamaan or mahawa. “

(Aside from added protection that gives our bodies, it will lessen the possibilities of getting hit by COVID-19.)

He reminded everyone to isolate themselves if they get exposed to someone who has COVID-19.
