Dragonriders, Unite! Eragon Will Soon Have A TV Series
Inherifam, Dragonriders, Millennial Parents, Alagaesians — rejoice as Eragon will now have a TV series available exclusively on Disney +!
Alongside Harry Potter and other series, Eragon made a mark on every millennial as the start of “Dragonology” or the study of dragons. While Eragon getting a TV series is both terrifying and exciting at the same time, it soothes our anxieties a little that the original writer, Christopher Paolini, will serve as a co-writer. Producing the TV series with him is Bert Stalke. He also has a contract with Disney Television as a member of 20th Television Studios.
Paolini even tweeted in gratitude to his fans about the latest news about Eragon as a TV series.

A Wish formed by #EragonRemake
This is not Eragon’s first time becoming a live-action movie. When it first released in 2006, many of us were probably disappointed with how it came out. Not because of the cast but rather how the movie didn’t match up to Paolini’s description based on the books. Although a common problem in live-action adaptations, some series got away with it. It’s usually because someone who was extremely familiar with the franchise was involved and salvaged the damage. One series that did that was the Witcher, with Geralt played by Henry Cavill, almost every millennial’s crush. He also shared how he read every inch of Witcher lore hence, how he got his netizen title, “The King of the Nerds”.
Currently, Eragon’s the latest in the YA genre to turn into a live-action TV series. Alongside Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson.
Fingers crossed that Saphira and Eragon finally take to the skies as we remember!
Many millennial parents consider the books of the 1990s to 2000s as the golden age of franchises with storylines just not tickling our fancies as much anymore. But now with Christopher Paolini onboard with Eragon’s production, we’re hoping that the TV series turns out well. Parents among the Dragonriders, Inherifams, Alagaesians, don’t forget to tune into Disney + when it comes out!
