These celebrities became your millennial kids’ crushes either because they relate to them or they’re everything they want in a partner.
Kids will always have crushes. We’ve had our own fair share—like maybe Dingdong Dantes or Shaun Cassidy. But that’s too old school for our millennials. They now have their own set of celebrity crushes which is why we made a list of celebrity crushes among millennials—explaining why they made it to the top sixteen.
1. Henry Cavill
A lot would say Henry Cavill inherited the mantle of Christopher Reeve as Superman very well. But that’s not all your millennials may have a crush on this celebrity for. As Geralt of Rivia, he’s scruffy but knows how to walk it. He even memorized the whole Witcher lore. He’s also been hailed as King of the Nerds. The man even built his own gaming rig! How can that man look sexy while building a PC?!
We’re not sure but he kind of just…did.
2. Chris Evans
Hailed by the net as ‘America’s ass’, Chris Evans is actually a pretty wholesome guy. Discounting the fact that he just has those pretty light blue-green eyes and is absolutely ripped, Chris has always been the very supportive type. Besides being open about his going to therapy, he supports his gay brother, Scott, without worrying about what the media would say.
3. Benedict Cumberbatch
The man even has a fan club known as the Cumberbitches who have been following his career ever since. The British actor plays the lead role in a lot of literature your millennials would know as fanfiction. On top of this, he became an even bigger celebrity crush and meme among millennials when he took on the role of Dr. Strange.
4. BTS
ARMY millennials all have their biases which is why Jungkook, Jimin, J-Hope, RM, Suga, V, and Seok-jin all share the spot. They’re cute whether together or as individuals. Their interviews are short of nothing but completely wholesome and they’ve been pretty authentic—making them all the more attractive to our millennial kids.
5. Tom Hiddleston
Every time Tom plays Loki, it becomes a mood for many millennials—making him number five on the list of celebrity crushes among millennials. Although on screen he plays a rather devious character, in real life, he’s a charming gentleman. He’s seen to be very interactive with his fans, even indulging them as Loki.
6. Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp has our millennial kids rallying behind him, especially during the trial. Responsible for bringing the witty but cunning Captain Jack Sparrow to life, he’s become a crush among millennials because of his humor and how he makes special efforts for kids.
7. Robert Downy Jr.
Besides playing Sherlock Holmes, we can all agree that right now, he is the face of Iron Man. He has a strong sense of humor and is probably where our millennials learned to be savage. His line of “I love you 3000” practically has everyone swooning.
8. Charlize Theron
One from the ladies, yes, this woman ages gracefully. First being cast in Aeonflux and soon, different other action movies. This is why some of our millennials have a crush on her.
9. Emma Watson
Known for her iconic role as Hermione Granger, she became a celebrity crush among millennials not just for her looks but for her brains, too. After finishing her contract with the Harry Potter franchise, she continued her studies and graduated from Brown University—majoring in English Literature.
10. Vico Sotto
Filipino millennials love this guy for being witty and clean. The young mayor of Pasig became a celebrity because of his many memorable quotes to which millennials can completely relate. One of them was when he was asked if he would get a girlfriend, he answered, “I’d prefer some sleep during my free time.”
11. Kate Beckinsdale
Her most famous movie series, Underworld, has got millennials developing crushes on her. While she does have a lot of other dramatic movies, her skills as an action star placed her on the list of millennial celebrity crushes.
12. Elisabeth Olsen
Her role as Scarlet Witch is truly iconic, even having Marvel fans demand that she have her own movie. A lot of the episodes in Wandavision and scenes in Multiverse of Madness became a mood for many millennials, making her part of the celebrity crush list.
13. Darren Criss
Besides being a singer and his iconic role in glee, Darren Criss also played a role in the Harry Potter musical which further upped the number of millennials that had a crush on this celebrity.
14. Donny Pangilinan
One of the younger ones in the industry, Donny’s a VJ and actor. Despite coming from a well-known family, he established himself with his own talent, aura, and charming bad-boy aura.
15. Liza Soberano
Crowned as one of the most admired women in the Philippines and top one among the 100 Most Beautiful Faces in 2017, millennial boys have had a long-time crush on this celebrity.
16. Alodia Gosiengfiao
Alodia became a celebrity crush among gamer millennials because of her being a gamer, cosplayer, and being quite open with her fans.
