UPDATE: Fast And Furious 10 Slows Down With Fast X: What We Know So Far

Every race has its finish line and Fast and Furious 10 does so with Fast X.

Fast and Furious was every family’s high-speed car chase movie. From daring driving techniques to showcasing the dream cars of every parent, it’s a movie that got our blood and adrenaline pumping. For dads who were drag racers back in the day, it’s a movie that brought back some memories. But every race has its finish line and Fast and Furious has the group going for one last stretch before hanging their steering wheels.

Fast and Furious: “I don’t have friends; I have a family.”

The leader of the ragtag group of street racers and car heist specialists Dominic Torretto has often intoned that the gang was more than just a group. They were family, and the theme gets even more obvious, especially in some of their spin-offs. Beyond the roaring engines and the smell of burning rubber, they’re a group that has adopted one another. It extends even to real life as Vin Diesel was seen recently walking down the late Paul Walker’s daughter, Meadow, for her wedding.

What We Know So Far About Fast And Furious 10

According to Vin Diesel, the movie will have two parts because “there was just so much to cover.” That includes a much bigger cast alongside the original that will introduce many other family members who are part of the Fast and the Furious universe. Some famous names include four-time winner Rita Moreno who will play Dom’s grandmother.

Celebrity dad Jason Momoa will also enter the franchise and Vin Diesel is also actively trying to get celebrity dad Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to return, as he had just finished shooting DC’s Black Adam. Although the cast is not final yet, it’s still going to be one heck of a thrill for dads and families that have followed the franchise until the end.

The trailer will drop on February 10, where we’ll get to see who the new racers are.

UPDATE: Fast X reveals the cast and drops the premiere date!

Fast X’s trailer reveals the role of Jason Momoa: he plays the son of the Brazilian kingpin who the crew defeated in Fast and the Furious 5, Dante Reyes, who’s ready to make Dom pay the ultimate price.

More of the cast appears in the trailer with Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson as Tess, a rogue operative from the Agency, the organization that supports the group from behind the scenes. Alan Richter from Reacher will be playing Mr. Aimes who unfortunately is not fond of Dom and his group. Suicide Squad’s Daniela Melchior will also be joining the crew as possibly one of the supporting drag racers from Brazil for Dom’s group.

As of now, the movie’s slated to come out this coming May 17, 2023!
