Chef JP Anglo is known for his restaurants Sarsa and Kooya Filipino Eatery. But he just whipped up something new – a baby with his wife Camille.
On Instagram, the couple shared some snaps showing Camille’s baby bump. They were photographed with their dog Txuleta by their friends Kitty Bunag and Carlo Bunag.
“Nervous and excited at the same time,” JP wrote, tagging Camille and the name of their soon to be child Finn.
Camille shares the story
On Instagram, Camille shared how she and JP discussed about their future as a couple.
“It was never in our plans to have a baby. I was never one of those girls who’ve dreamt of becoming a mom since they were young and I definitely couldn’t see myself pregnant like this,” she wrote, referring to her baby bump.
“I was so annoyed with all the people constantly asking us why we don’t have children yet as if it was the only end goal in life. I still believe that kids aren’t for everyone and it’s totally okay not to want any. What changed our minds though was when we got a dog (Txuleta) and we thought, ‘Wow, if we can love a dog like this, maybe we can love a little baby too?” And that was that.”
Camille continued by saying that as she approached 40, she never felt better and stronger.
“There’s no looking back and thinking, ‘what if’ or “I wish I had done that when I was younger”. I had [a] blast and I will carry all the happy memories and painful lessons with me throughout my life. Hopefully, those will help me become a better parent one day.”
Although she is unsure what lies ahead as she enters this new chapter, Camille said she’s looking forward to it. ”
I may never be truly prepared for what’s to come, but I am ready to be changed. And for now, that is all I need. See you soon @finnanglo.”
We can’t wait to see Finn very soon. Congratulations Chef JP and Camille!
