Laureen Uy And Miggy Cruz Announce Pregnancy

Vlogger and entrepreneur Laureen Uy says she is 15 weeks pregnant with her first child

It’s been a busy year for vlogger Laureen Uy and her husband Miggy Cruz. Aside from their wedding early this year, they continue expanding their burger joint business and are about to become parents soon. The newlyweds confirmed they are expecting their first child sometime next year.

In her vlog dated October 26, Laureen shared that she’s 15 weeks pregnant. According to Laureen, she felt she was already pregnant when she went out with friends after a vacation.

She said that there was a point when she threw up and was feeling tired. “When we got back to Manila, I went to the drugstore and took a pregnancy test twice.”

The video later showed a clip dated August 14 wherein Laureen took the pregnancy test and found she was positive. She then wrote the word preggers on a t-shirt and showed Miggy, who was hugged her.

” I was stunned,” Miggy said. “To be honest, I think this is both what we’ve been wanting since we got married.”

“I wanted to get married [because I wanted] to start a family with you,” he added. ” It was an overwhelming feeling na parang gustong sumabog ng katawan ko but at the same time, I was trying to keep it together.”

The discussion of pregnancy

Miggy said he and Laureen discussed having a child after their wedding.

“We had discussions about this, and we’re just happy na we’re finally here and about to start a new chapter right?” Laureen said.

She immediately had a check-up with her OB-gynecologist and has been getting tips. The heartbeat was strong she said.

Miggy said there will be changes with the baby coming, including being hands-on with Laureen’s needs.

After the check-ups, the couple announced to their family and friends, which was also part of the vlog. The reaction from Laureen’s siblings and friends was disbelief, excitement, and happiness.

Laureen, sister of Liz and Vince Uy has been known in the blogging community thanks to her documentation of fashion and travel. She and Miggy own FLO All Day Drinking and Hungry Homies, which has been getting a following in the food and beverage community.
