“I am deeply honored and thankful to receive my own wax figure. The wait is over and I’m thrilled for you all to see it. It means so much to me to be able to join the remarkable lineup of Filipinos immortalized at Madame Tussauds,” she said.

On Instagram, Lea expressed her excitement on finally seeing the wax figure and thanked Solaire for hosting the event.

“She’s here!!! My wax likeness is complete and has been officially unveiled!” confirming that the wax figure will be on display starting September 20 in Singapore.

Excitement among celebrities

Aside from her mom Ligaya, singer Jed Madela was also present when the wax figure was unveiled.

“Congratulations, @msleasalonga! Your Madame Tussauds wax figure is just spot on! Goosebumps!” he wrote. Others who have congratulated Lea include Rachelle Ann Go and Tim Yap.

Elaine Quek, Head of Sales and Marketing at Madame Tussauds Singapore, said they’re happy for Lea to join the growing list of Filipinos who will have their figurines on display at the museum.

“Our team of expert sculptors spent up to six months making the figure, paying meticulous attention to detail to ensure that this wax figure captures her spirit and charisma. Together with Lea, we have chosen a pose that exudes her magnetic presence on stage where her talent and personality shine through. We hope that through this figure, her legacy continues to inspire visitors globally.”

Lea’s wax figure is the fourth Filipino to join the figurines of Madame Tussauds. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, and boxing icon Manny Pacquiao’s wax figures were unveiled in recent years.

Lea is set to perform in a series of concerts in the Philippines in November.
