‘Let The Enchantment Begin’: Disney Opens First SEA Store in the PH
Disney brings the magic closer to home as it opens its first-ever store beyond the theme park in the Philippines
Truly the magic that Disney has enchanted families over the years has finally made its way to Southeast Asia! Disney now opens its very first store beyond the theme park at the Philippines’ SM Mall of Asia! Opening this coming September 27, 2024, the Disney Store will showcase toys, stuffed toys, clothes, building kits, mugs, and other Disney-related merchandise from the different films and movies that have entertained families and fuelled the dreams of children everywhere.
Bringing the magic close to many families’ hearts
It’s a magical moment upon entry. While the kids can fawn over their favorite Disney princesses and heroes, parents will see merchandise dedicated to the films they’ve grown up with. The magic of nostalgia hits as parents see their little boys and girls clutching a toy of their favorite character, pleading to bring a piece of the magic home. Some parents may even recall moments of their childhood of how they wanted that particular character, finally having the money to buy it for themselves.
The store is split into various sections, displaying goodies for people of all ages. Stuffed toys both big and small, costumes, doll sets, bath toys, and even building block sets for the kids to appreciate and grow up with. The older kids and kids at heart had realistic figurines of their favorite superheroes from the Marvel cinematic universe and Star Wars.
“We are happy to partner with SM to bring the magic of Disney closer to home and shop in the stories you love,” shares Vice President of Retail Disney Consumer Products for Asia Pacific Sara Grewal. “Disney Store is a place where our stories come alive!”
Disney Store is now open to the public!
Disney has always produced family-friendly movies but not just the kind that parents can watch with their kids. Some of the movies like that of Frozen, Moana, The Mandalorian, and even Inside Out have more complex stories, introducing characters who aren’t completely bad or good. But that’s what the magic of Disney is all about; it doesn’t only stay in one place, shape, or form. It changes and passes across and down to the next generation — whether it be through the lessons they’ve learned or a little souvenir from the Disney Store.
The Disney Store is currently at the G/F of Mall of Asia, next to National Bookstore.
