TV host Luane Dy and actor Carlo Gonzalez held their church wedding on Wednesday, February 8. Some of the country’s biggest showbiz names attended!
After tying the knot in civil rites three years ago, Luane Dy and Carlo Gonzalez had their church wedding on Wednesday, February 8 at the Shrines of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus in Pasay City.

The reception was held at the Ballroom of the Marriott Hotel. Among those who came to the wedding were Carlo’s cousins Dingdong Dantes, who stood as Best Man, and Arthur Solinap.
Moreover, some of the guests include former Senator Tito Sotto, and TV hosts Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. Ryan Agoncillo, Judy Ann Santos, and the hosts of Unang Hirit attended the wedding, too.
Others who came to the wedding include director Mark Reyes, Pia Guanio, Marian Rivera, Rocco Nacino, Jak Roberto, Ruru Madrid, Ysabel Ortega, Miguel Tanfelix, and Pauleen Luna.
Being a mom in the time of a pandemic
Speaking to Modern Parenting in 2021, Luane, who has been a host for Unang Hirit, shared what it was like to be a mom in uncertain times. She was about to give birth to her and Carlo’s son, Christiano, when it was all happening.
She also shared the challenges as a newlywed back then. “The lockdown gave us a lot of moments to work out as first-time parents. We enjoyed every moment from diaper changing, feeding, and putting him to bed.”
Luane has been busy as a host. But since she became a mom, her son is her top priority.
“Managing work was relatively easy. I opted to take a break from studio work so I could focus on being a mom. Sometimes, I am called for hosting gigs or TV show guestings but, as much as possible, I make it a point to have certain considerations approved before I take them.”
