Marc Pingris and Danica Sotto-Pingris Celebrate Their Little Prince, Jean-Luc’s Birthday
Aside from celebrating the birthday of Jean-Luc, the special day was a double celebration for his dedication.
Last January 14, 2024, at WhiteSpace Manila, celebrity parents Marc Pingris and Danic Sotto-Pingris celebrated their son, Jean-Luc’s birthday with a Little Prince-themed birthday party. A complex but child-friendly tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince has always been one of our favorites when teaching kids about appreciating what life has to offer.
And it fits Jean-Luc, the current little prince of the Sotto-Pingris household!
It was a joint celebration, too!
Besides being Jean-Luc’s first birthday, yesterday was also a double celebration for his dedication. According to the Church, a baby dedication differs from a baptism—because for the former, the parents are the ones who celebrate and vow to raise their child prayerfully while still leaving the choice up to their child whether or not to follow God.
But the ceremony shares similar aspects with a baptism, like having godparents present.
Some of Jean-Luc’s godmothers include Danica’s sisters-in-law—Kristine Hermosa-Sotto and Joy Woolbright-Sotto, Vania Padilla Edralin, Jackie Cabrera Rodriguez, Edz Plotnikov, and Jennie Medina Balanay.
It was a joyful, grand, and blue-hued celebration, where even the dads had some fun! Even Vic Sotto, as a grandfather, showed that he’s still up to groove.
During the birthday celebration, Danica also posted a short and heartwarming letter to her son, Jean-Luc—while also assuring that the Pingris side of the family would celebrate with them soon.
“Happiest birthday to the cutest and [most] handsome baby Jean-Luc! You are God’s living testimony of his faithfulness and answering of prayers dahil sa inspiring story kung paano ka pinagkaloob sa parents and family mo! We hope to see you soon Pingris fam! We all love you, beautiful family,” she writes on her story.
Making sure that Jean-Luc knows that he has a family that loves him
While babies as they grow older may not remember their grand first birthday celebrations, they can look back fondly at these memories, knowing that they are loved. And for Jean-Luc’s, it was a gathering of almost the entire Sotto clan—among many friends and family from the show-biz side.
On the other hand, we’re wondering what kind of welcoming and gathering the Pingris family side will have. But for now, it’s definitely a happy first birthday to Jean-Luc!
Jean-Luc is the third child and second son of Danica Sotto-Pingris and Marc Pingris. He has two elder siblings, Caela and Jean Michael.
