Meet The Moms of Miss Universe Philippines 2025

A new queen is set to be crowned on May 2!

Pageant season has commenced, as Miss Universe Philippines will crown a new titleholder on May 2 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Several familiar faces have returned to vie for the title and represent the country in the Miss Universe pageant in Bangkok, Thailand, this November.

The competition has seen several changes after the organization announced it would allow moms and married women to compete. Last February, actress and mom Winwyn Marquez announced her return to the pageant scene, eight years after bringing home the first Reina Hispanoamericana title.

But it’s not only Winwyn who’s part of the competition. Let’s meet the three other moms who joined this edition.

Louise Lian Bobe, Bacolod

Louise represents Bacolod. In her video, she shared that she has a rheumatic heart condition.

“It’s deadly, but it doesn’t define me,” she said.

She was advised not to get pregnant, but became a mom. She was also told to control her emotions. “ But here’s the thing – the world doesn’t get to tell us who we are or what we do.”

“ I am a mother, a fighter, and I am your Miss Universe Philippines Bacolod.”

She and her husband, Adrian, have one daughter named Llana Aztrid or LA.

Franches Anne Laquibla, Negros Occidental

Anne is a single parent and a mom of a son. In an interview with Rappler, Anne said that joining the regional pageant allowed her to show that beauty is diverse.

“Joining this pageant as a mother is not just about embracing my journey; it’s about inspiring others to chase their dreams fearlessly, regardless of their roles or life stages,”  she said. “I believe we should celebrate all body types and focus on self-acceptance rather than conforming to unrealistic standards.”
