Michael Phelps Welcomes Baby Number 4!
The Olympian swimmer and his wife Nicole announced the birth of their fourth child, a boy named Nico.
Former Olympian swimmer Michael Phelps became a father for the fourth time! On Monday, January 22, the gold medalist and his wife Nicole Johnson announced that they’ve welcomed a son named Nico. “@mrs.nicolephelps and I wanna welcome Nico Michael Phelps to the world,” Michael wrote. “We’re so blessed to be given a 4th child. We’re now a family of 6.”
The baby was born on January 16 and joins his other brothers—Boomer, Maverick, and Beckett.
Now a proud family of six
Michael and Nicole shared the good news about their growing family in October. Nicole wrote in the post that showed their timeline as husband and wife: “For those that are wondering… yes! we’re expecting our 4th Phelps in 2024.”
Although Nicole is surrounded by boys, Michael says that she seems to love it. In an interview, he shared: “I think Nicole said something along the lines of, like, ‘I’m so lucky to have a house full of boys and no girls,’ and Boomer looked at her and said, ‘Mommy, you’re the girl in our house.’ So we’ve been saying that and it’s true, she’s the queen.”
The couple met in 2007 and married in 2016 in three different ceremonies.
