Modern Parenting Launches Its First Print Issue with a Sip and Shop Event at Rustan’s

Modern Parenting, your companion in today’s parenting journey, launched its very first print issue with an intimate event at Rustan’s Makati.

Last November 25, on Thanksgiving Day, Modern Parenting launched a special anniversary print issue entitled THE 100 LIST. The 256-page magazine includes 100 heartwarming stories of carefully selected personalities who shared what it’s like parenting in a pandemic.

The intimate event took place at Rustan’s Makati and for almost all the attendees, it was their first face to face event after almost two years.

An Intimate Celebration

Celebrity and VIP guests enjoyed red, white and rosé sangrias from Lolea and took home Christmas Pica Boxes from Feliz Dish & Details. Each guest was also given copies of the very first Modern Parenting print magazine together with gifts from partner sponsors.

So Much To Be Thankful For

During the event, a quick program transpired with Modern Parenting’s Editor-in-Chief, Marga Medrano-Tupaz, opening the floor and expressing her gratitude to all the attendees and event sponsors.

“It took us over six months to put this special issue together, throughout lockdowns and heightened restrictions, we had to keep adjusting and I am so grateful that finally, it’s here,” she expressed. “And to those of you who didn’t know, today is Thanksgiving in the U.S. Dina Tantoco and I really chose this date because there is just so much to be thankful for!”

Dr. JV Jaurigue, a renowned dentist, then discussed the importance of oral hygiene in a time of pandemic on behalf of Orahex.

Afterward, Pinky Tobiano shared her passion for tablescaping and indulged guests with a short workshop that’s perfect for the Christmas season.

Lastly, Dina Arroyo-Tantoco, Marketing Communications Head of Rustan’s, gave the closing remarks with a message embodying gratitude and generosity.

Sip and Shop

As soon as the program ended, guests looked around and shopped at Rustan’s Department Store—enjoying the Thanksgiving sale. It was also a chance for friends to reunite in person after two years in lockdown. Strict protocols were still implemented and organizers made sure that every guest had been vaccinated.
