Meet Modern Parenting’s 100 List of 2025 Part 10

Meet the modern parents shaping the future of the family

Stanley Ong

If he’s not behind the lens or at his studio, Silver Light Photography, you’ll likely find Stanley with his two children—Naima (17) and Erik (13) . For him, family is built on connection and trust, and on giving children the freedom to grow into their own person. He keeps their bond strong through spirited political debates with his son and leisurely rounds of golf with his daughter. Like any devoted father, Stanley hopes his kids will always come to him without fear of judgment—free to be honest and to express who they truly are without fear. And if there’s one value he aims to leave with them, it’s the unwavering importance of integrity even when the path isn’t the easiest.

Steve Mark Gan

Tagged as the dentist to the stars because of Gan Advanced Osseointegration Centre (GAOC) , Steve’s name continues to shine as a dentist and businessman. When he’s not attending to his clinics, Steve is also a loving father to his son, Simon Matthew (22) , and daughter, Selene Moira (20). Despite social media and technology’s influence, Steve believes that family should remain anchored in the values they grew up with. For him, being rooted in family gives him strength, direction, and discipline. He wants his kids to know that when they fail, they rise with grit; and when love shows itself, nurture it with passion. He wants them to remember that being good to people will never go out of style and that by staying true to their core, strength comes out not from power but from a will grounded in kindness.

Suzanna Pavadee Vicheinrut Yuzon

Suzanna’s heart for individuals with special needs shines through her work as president of MoRe Beauty Center and founder of the Miss Possibilities Foundation, which celebrates them through its annual fashion show and pageant. As mom to Joey, (13) , and Jacey, (11) , she believes the future of family is rooted in inclusivity and shaped by empathy across cultures. Raising her daughters between two worlds means navigating differing norms and expectations around disability, but it also gives her the chance to teach them openness and compassion. Most of all, she hopes they grow up knowing they are enough and that they belong wherever they choose to stand.

Tanya Franco Velasco

Tanya’s world revolves around children—both as a teacher of family life and a specialist in infant and toddler development, and as someone who regularly leads seminars on the subject. At home, she cherishes time with her husband, Mike, and their three children: Ellie (12) , Julia (10) and Nathan (5). For Tanya, connection and upholding values that nurture human relationships and meaningful face-to-face interactions are lasting gifts we can give to our children. She emphasizes the importance of play, presence, and intentional parenting, while guiding her children toward a lasting relationship with God—a practice she and her husband weave into everyday life.

Tessa Nepomuceno

For Tessa, family is built on faith, compassion, and the courage to grow through changes. A proud mom to actor Khalil and Samuel, she believes the future of family lies in resilience and connection — values that remain timeless amid an ever-evolving world. “I raise my sons to be independent thinkers guided by faith and gratitude, to value people over possessions, and to live with purpose,” she shares. The ultimate lesson she hopes her children carry is anchored in her faith: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; and from wisdom comes kindness, integrity, and love.”

Tim Tam Ong

Jewelry, interior, and furniture designer Tim Tam thrives in the world of creativity, yet her passions extend far beyond design. She advocates for job creation, education, animal welfare, and the arts through several organizations she supports. At the heart of it all, she is a devoted mother to her sons, Marco (18) and Matias (12) . For her, family is built on connection, understanding, and resilience. She instills in he children a strong sense of self-worth, the belief that family extends beyond blood, and the
power of kindness is an enduring value she
considers one of life’s greatest gifts.

Tin Tan Coqueiro

As Vice President for Retail Development at Rockwell Land, Tin oversees the curation of tenancy mix and the customer experience at Powerplant Mall—a role that keeps her busy. When she’s not at the office, she unwinds through pole dancing and freediving, now that her children, Lara (19) and Mateus (10), are growing more independent. For Tin, families in the near future will be diverse and less bound by tradition, a reflection of the strength and resilience that will truly define its foundation. She has raised her children to be empathetic and adaptable, with the hope that they carry forward the values of kindness and compassion in all they do.

Tina Legarda

The kitchens of Bamba and Kumba restaurants can be busy for owner and chef Tina, but it doesn’t stop her from attending to her daughter (4) , Myles. Recently, Tina’s restaurant Kumba earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand award. As a first-time mom, Tina raises Myles by reminding her that she is strong and beautiful, which she believes will help her daughter face people with confidence in the future. She wants to instill in Myles that being authentic will always be the right direction to having a full and happy life, as well as kindness, gratitude, and love.

Vernice Sanchez

As the owner of a thriving advertising agency—and a trusted events planner and PR strategist—Nice steps into a new chapter with the launch of her latest brand, Hiessence. For her, the future of family life is anchored in intentional living: a return to what is meaningful, mindful, and real. A devoted, hands-on mother to Evo (15) , Ethan (10) and Elias (1) , she champions a way of living that invites families to slow down, savor the quiet luxuries of everyday moments, and choose presence over pace. Her hope is that her children grow up rooted in truth and God’s love.

Windie Villarica Hayano

As the medical director of The Skin Inc. Dermatology and Laser Center, Windie understands beauty in its most authentic form. At home, as mother to Hikari (17) and Keito (15), she embraces today’s evolving definition of family—from single parents and blended homes to non-binary couples and those growing through adoption, surrogacy, or IVF. Raising her children on her own has strengthened her gratitude for the family who supports her, while also making her mindful of technology’s influence. She guides her kids to use it with intention and balance. Windie encourages them to keep learning—whether a new language, cooking, or carpentry—skills she believes will ground them in the future. She also reminds them to appreciate those who show up and stay.
