New Pop-Ups and Small Food Businesses Parents Should Try This 2025

Here are some new food pop-ups and small food businesses that parents can try out before 2025 ends!

When going on family food trips, pop-ups and small businesses are always part of the adventure! Whether it’s a new way of cooking chicken skin or a different kind of coffee, these kiosks are always literally adding new flavors to our family’s palate.

Unlike family restaurants, these charm with simplicity and versatility. Their food can be the kind families enjoy having a bite of while roaming around. Or, the kind that serve as wonderful gifts for friends. Here are some pop-ups and kiosks families should try this 2025:

Koala Joe

Koala Joe offers more than the next go-to for an Aussie-style flat white. It’s a brand steeped with purpose, brewed with Australia’s belief that coffee is an everyday ritual. Inspired by her children and her experience with the vibrant Brisbane coffee culture through her husband Richard, co-founder Jessica Everingham decided to bring the same spirit of connection and quality to the Philippines.

True to its tagline, “My Cup Overflows,” every cup from Koala Joe truly pours into something bigger. Through its “Cup with a Cause” initiative, a portion of each purchase is donated to the Kids for Jesus Foundation, which provides meals, school support, and values formation for underprivileged children.

Jessica shares, “Our joy and purpose overflow into the lives of others.”

With each cup, Koala Joe aims to grow from a humble coffee trailer into a movement—a community-driven brand that blends premium Australian-Filipino coffee and heartfelt advocacy into a global message of hope for a better future.

Is there a way to taste the words “I love you?” Ti Amo Tiramisu makes that possible. What started as a business-to-business (B2B) pastry supply line eventually turned into a venture that dedicates itself to bringing the unique, rich, creamy, and bittersweet indulgence directly to families.

Although Tiramisu isn’t that popular yet in the Philippines, founder Kim Salvoro figures it’ll be the next big thing. Currently, Ti Amo Tiramisu now has permanent spots in several major malls, including SM Jazz, SM Bacoor, SM MOA, SM North EDSA, and Market! Market!, making it easier than ever for families to grab a little taste of Italy after errands or weekend bonding.

You can also order online through @tiamo.tiramisu.ph. Whether it’s as a present or just wanting to have something that says “I love you” in a spoonful, Ti Amo Tiramisu delights either way.

Chickcharon

Nothing says nostalgia like crunchy chicken skin. Whether it’s with cold rice in the middle of the night or in a cup after a hectic trip through commute, there’s something comforting about listening to the snack crack in one’s mouth.

Chickcharon Co-founders Nats Imson and Ethel Borcena deeply understand that craving. “We’ve always been on the lookout for really good, crunchy chicken skin,” Nats shares. “The kind you can enjoy without rushing for fear it might turn soft and soggy. When we couldn’t find any, we decided to make it ourselves. We asked each other, ‘How hard could it be, right?’”

2 years, gallons of different cooking oils, and over 50 kilos of chicken skin later, they came up with the perfect krunch. Thus, began Chickcharon—a proudly Filipino brand that’s Konsistent, Krunchy, and Krazy good. Each batch takes over 24 hours to make, with no shortcuts or preservatives. Just pure, crispy goodness made fresh every time. That same passion has since inspired a flavorful lineup, from Chicken Skin Chili Oil and Chicken Skin Salt to Spicy Suka and Special Patis.

As for what’s next? “We’re going global,” Nats says with a grin. “There’s a huge space for products like ours, and we can’t wait to share with the world how we’re redefining the chicken skin experience — with all the Ks we can come up with.”

What once began as a humble bazaar favorite nearly two years ago is now earning the hearts and stomachs of Filipino families with every bite. Determined to make every bite “lasang sarap,” Carlos Vergara’s Aroi Mak reimagines Filipino-style fried chicken with a burst of flavor and crunch that keeps families coming back for more. What started as a food stall has since grown into three thriving branches, with their newest one opening soon at Evia Mall, Las Piñas.

Find comfort with their hearty signature menu of fried chicken parts—wings, legs, or thighs—served with your choice of garlic rice sautéed in real chicken oil or rotating weekly pasta sauces like Spaghetti Tomato Meat Sauce, Carbonara, and even Mac & Cheese. If you’re looking for something flavorful and on-the-go, their indulgent sandwiches like the Original Fillet Chicken Sandwich, Double Patty Cheeseburger, and Smoked Pork Belly Burger with their signature Sriracha BBQ sauce are winning choices.

Recently, for a lighter twist, they just launched their Chicken Teriyaki Fillet over garlic rice.

Whether dining at South Park Ayala Mall or ordering directly via 0977 806 6769, Aroi Mak promises one thing in every bite: “Aroi Mak” — very delicious, indeed.
