What’s this anime about?
Ranma 1/2 is a manga written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. It revolved around Ranma Saotome, who along with his dad Genma were cursed after falling into the springs of Jusenkyo in China.
Ranma and Genma find themselves turning into a girl and a panda when thrown with cold water and back to themselves when poured with hot water.
Ranma find himself forced in an engagement to Akane Tendo, the youngest daughter of Soun Tendo, Genma’s best friend and classmate. The love-hate relationship between them is one of many storylines, including adventures from their classmates and other characters in the manga.
Aside from the series on RPN 9 it included original movies shown as a special.
