For many parents, welcoming a second child brings a whole new rhythm to family life—something Rocco Nacino is experiencing firsthand.

Already a hands-on dad to his eldest son, Ezren, the actor recently embraced fatherhood again with the arrival of baby Elyon, whom he and his wife, Melissa Gohing, welcomed in March. And while parenting two little ones comes with its own set of challenges, Rocco describes this new chapter in one word: “wonderful.”

“It’s a different journey. I love it,” he shared with Modern Parenting on the sidelines of a recent streaming event in Makati. “I look forward to going home every day, and I’m more motivated to work now.”

Rediscovering Fatherhood, One Sleepless Night at a Time

If there’s one thing Rocco admits comes with having a newborn again, it’s the return of sleepless nights—something many parents can relate to.

“We had to adjust, but it’s a different kind of learning,” he said. “Being a dad for the second time has shown me how to really manage it.”

Beyond his role at home, Rocco continues to juggle a demanding schedule. From television appearances like Stars on the Floor to upcoming film and teleserye projects, plus managing his businesses, his days are anything but slow.

Still, fatherhood remains his anchor.

“It’s time management,” he shared. “You just have to wake up every day knowing this is what I have to do. Yes, it’s a crazy schedule—but I’m getting motivation from my second child.”

For many modern parents, this balancing act feels all too familiar: pursuing career goals while staying present for family. Rocco’s experience is a reminder that while the juggle isn’t always easy, purpose can make it all feel worthwhile.

When asked, the actor kept things playful and mysterious.

“What you’re saying is a question mark,” he teased. “We have to look out for exciting things—fans will go crazy for the ending.”

As for Aquil’s fate? “With regards to my character? Abangan nila.”
