Korean star Song Joong-ki is now a dad! He and his wife Katy Louise Saunders welcomed a baby boy in Italy.
Korean superstar Song Joong-ki is now a dad. The Vicenzo star announced through his fan cafe translated by Soompi that he and his wife, Katy Louise Saunders, welcomed their son in Italy.
“Today, I came here to greet you because I have one more piece of news that feels like a dream, and I wanted to be the first to tell you. Right now, I’m in Italy. Here, in my wife’s hometown of Rome, we happened to welcome our baby. It’s a healthy son.. and both the baby and his mother… are in very good health. As we welcomed [our child] in good health and joy, I am taking care of my family very happily, with a grateful heart,” he said.
“I think [our son] is the most precious gift to have found its way to us, a married couple whose biggest dream all our lives was to start a happy family. And I think it’s thanks to the many people who gave us their support that such a happy day has found us. Thank you.”
Joong-ki’s agency High Zium Studio also confirmed the news on Wednesday, June 14. “Song Joong Ki became the father of a baby boy in Italy.”
Surprise news
It was early January when Joong-Ki announced that he was going to be a father and that he married Katy, who did some acting before laying low.
“I have promised to continue life together with Katy Louise Saunders, who has been by my side supporting me and who I have spent valuable time with while cherishing each other.”
Joong-Ki confirmed that he and Katy were together back in December 2022. Before Katy, he was married to Korean actress Soong Hye-kyo from 2017 to 2019.
