Behind all the glitz and glam, there’s a side of Piolo Pascual that most people don’t know — he’s a big family guy. The youngest of six siblings, Piolo Pascual grew up surrounded by people. And thanks to the pandemic, he’s been able to spend more time with the people who mean the most to him.
Family matters
Being in showbiz means hectic schedules and crazy call times — and not a lot of family time. For a family guy like Piolo Pascual, it was heartbreaking. Reunions and family dinners were limited to special occasions — or if he’s lucky— once-a-month meetups.
The value of family
With the lockdown in place, Piolo and his family, like the rest of the Philippines was stuck at home. Luckily for Piolo, his whole family was in the same city (Batangas), making it easier for them to see each other. And soon as MECQ was lifted, the family made it a point to get together as often as they could, making up for lost time.
“The pandemic really made me realize the value of family,” says Piolo. “We became closer, got to know each other better, and I’m grateful for that.” The best part? Because everyone was off of work, they were all able to focus on the present and not think about anything else.
For Piolo Pascual, the pandemic has been a blessing in disguise. A time for him to reconnect and enjoy life with the people who mean the most to him — his family.
