What Traveling Families Need to Know About the eArrival Card
The Department of Tourism announced that starting November 1, Filipino and international travelers will be using the eArrival card, which replaces the One Health Pass.
Better read up if you’re heading for an international vacation soon! The Department of Tourism announced last October 21 that Filipino and international travelers should fill out their eArrival cards upon disembarking. This replaces the One Health Pass.
What is the eArrival Card?
The eArrival card replaces the One Health Pass. Passengers should fill it out within 72 hours online before leaving or disembarking from the flight. According to a DOT statement, the new eArrival card replaces the One Health Pass. This is due to several complaints and upon the recommendation of the IATF.
“The eARRIVAL CARD stemmed from the DOT’s proposal to remove the OHP, especially amidst numerous complaints from inbound travelers to the Philippines and, to improve the same, benchmarking more convenient arrival protocols in the ASEAN such as Singapore,” the statement read.
“Following the DOT’s coordination and discussions with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), Department of Health (DOH), Bureau of Quarantine (BoQ), and other member agencies of the IATF, the OHP requirement has now been lifted.”
Browser-Based
Like the One Health Pass, the eArrival card still requires passengers to fill up basic details. However, unnecessary fields were removed. This makes the process faster and easier for travelers.
On top of that, travelers won’t need to download any apps anymore as the card is browser-based.
For more information on the new eArrival card, people can log on to onehealthpass.com.ph. Simply fill in the details and read the guidelines.
