Who are the Alphablocks and Why Should Kids Watch Them?

Children’s ABCs just got even more fun with CBeebies TV show Alphablocks!

How do you make the alphabet fun for kids? Introducing them through writing and reading may be a big help but today’s kids want something visual, hence another children’s program: the Alphablocks!

Like its sister show Numberblocks, Alphablocks has become a must-watch show for many kids because they make learning so much fun. But who are they and why are they so popular online?

Meet the Alphablocks

Alphablocks are 26 letters and when combined by holding hands they form words. Like the numbers of Numberblocks, each letter has its own distinct personality and often finds itself in hilarious situations in their world.

To distinguish the vowels, A, E, I, O, and U have stripes on their bodies.

How they’re introduced

As a learning program, the Alphablocks have five steps in introducing the kids to phonetics and spelling. Level one is all about recognizing the letter sound. On the other hand, level two is about introducing the less-known letters. Meanwhile, level three tackles combining two letters or more.

Level four introduces the kids to a combination of consonants while level five introduces learners in how long vowel sounds are made.

Where can you watch the Alphablocks?

Alphablocks is shown via the BBC channel in the United Kingdom. Those from other countries can watch it online on its official YouTube channel or local TV station provider.

Just like the Numberblocks, the Alphablocks have also become popular on phone apps and merchandise. Those who want to avail of it may just check the website.

Now who says learning is not fun? Definitely, you’ll learn to love spelling and pronunciation with the help of the Alphablocks.
