Canned goods, especially canned tuna, have become one of the staples of a working parent at home. With a life that juggles career and parenting, cooking sometimes is a last-minute thing. While deliveries have become a big help, whipping up dishes is still something parents would like to do to give kids a good meal.

So, what can you do with canned tuna? A lot of recipes have been made and shared online. Here are some ideas that you can do in less than 15 minutes ala Rachael Ray!

Canned Tuna

Sandwiches

Sandwiches are one of the easiest and go-to recipes using canned tuna. If you love a good tuna sandwich, grab a can of your favorite tuna brand, and don’t forget to drain the water. Mix it with some vegetables, pickles, salt and pepper to taste, and a little mayonnaise.

Get your favorite bread, spread it, and then put some additional vegetables like lettuce and tomatoes and you have a good tuna sandwich to eat!

Tuna Salad

Another easy recipe is a tuna salad, especially when tired from a long workday. Just get a can of tuna (don’t forget to drain it) and vegetables like lettuce and carrots. Add some salt and pepper to taste and your favorite salad dressing. Toss them all together in a bo

Tuna Pasta

One of the go-to recipes for canned tuna is tuna pasta. Get some of your favorite pasta ( I love macaroni or spaghetti), put it in hot water until its cooked then strained.

Get some canned tuna. Make sure to drain it, salt, and pepper to taste, and mix it. Add some spices. Take your pasta, put the mixture and some olive oil, toss it, and serve it on the plate to eat.

Tuna Sisig

Sisig is normally cooked using pork but for health-conscious people, they replaced it with fish. A recipe you can check out for tuna sisig is from the website A Yellow Bowl.

To make tuna sisig, drain the can of tuna and heat a tablespoon of cooking oil. Cook the tuna until golden brown.

In another pan, cook onions and garlic until soft. Then add the tuna, vinegar, soy sauce, and calamansi juice. Add salt and pepper to taste.

You can also add other elements to the tuna sisig depending on your taste.

Tuna Rice

This recipe is for those who want to throw something together. I recommend draining the canned tuna and then adding some salt and pepper as you cook it in the pan. If you have extra rice, throw in one cup of rice and mix it. Afterward, just put it on the plate and eat!

Get creative with canned tuna

There are many ways to upgrade a canned tuna like other canned goods. All you need is creativity in the kitchen. It’s all about the ingredients you put together, so make sure to adjust to the requirements of your diet.
