BINI has come a long way since it formed at ABS-CBN’s Star Academy. Dubbed the “Nation’s Girl Group”, the group first came out with cutesy and bubbly tunes, starting with their version of Smokey Mountain’s “Da Coconut.” They went on to promote empowerment among their followers in songs such as “Born to Win.” Their viral hit “Pantropiko,” skyrocketed them to success, and songs such as “Salamin Salamin”, and “Cherry On Top,” followed.

Females supporting females

Fans tend to pit groups but you’ll be surprised that they are good friends. Healthy competition is okay among them but one thing is for sure: they support each other in every performance they do. And more than performing, they are also the new music ambassadors of Pinoy music, which is now gaining recognition worldwide.

The fandoms of the groups have also used their platforms to help. They’ve done charity work and fan projects to promote their group’s music. In a time where young girls or even boys go through challenges, their music is their comfort and like any other artists, has helped them through their lives.
