Here’s what went down during the launch of Modern Parenting’s The 100 List of 2025

Five years and countless parenting milestones later, Modern Parenting, together with Sapporo, welcomed the holiday season with a heartfelt celebration of the people who embody the spirit of today’s families. Last December 11, 2025, we gathered friends and members of our community (old and new) at The Astbury in Makati to launch Modern Parenting’s The 100 List of 2025 print issue.

This year’s issue also proudly features beloved celebrity couple Megan Young and Mikael Daez on the cover—two personalities who continue to redefine relationships and evolution with authenticity and warmth.

The afternoon was festive, intimate, and filled with the unmistakable joy of a community of parents, partners and friends that has grown together.

A Festive Feast

Tucked within one of Makati’s busiest lifestyle nooks, The Astbury created just the right atmosphere for an intimate yet lively gathering. With its industrial charm and cozy layout that welcomed over one hundred of our guests, the venue set the tone for an afternoon of celebration, connection, and holiday cheer.

True to Modern Parenting’s tradition, guests were treated to a generous feast. One World Deli laid out a buffet spread featuring its clean ingredients and a delightful sangria—highlighting flavors perfect for a holiday get-together. Our friends from Pure Nectar served refreshing cold-pressed juices.

Some parents on the 100 List also joined the event such as Niña Corpuz, Pauline Juan, Shiela Valderrama, Tim Tam Ong, Pam Solilapsi Guerrero, Kelly Go and many more.

Adding to the festivities was a well-loved Modern Parenting staple: the raffle! Thirty lucky attendees won prizes from YogaLove, Ancient and Brave, HiEssence, Khozy Lounge, Suki Jewelry, The Beauty Edit, Ultra Lagree, Claw Restaurant, MoRe Hair Center, and Resorts World.

A High Five to the Future of Families

As Modern Parenting wrapped up 2025, the afternoon’s celebration underscored a bigger message as delivered by our editor in chief, Marga Tupaz: today’s families are moving forward—learning, unlearning, adapting, and staying curious amid a rapidly changing world.

The holidays may bring noise, glitter, and the usual swirl of activity, but they also invite reflection.

How do we show up for our children better?

What do we need to grow individually, emotionally, and as a family unit?

How do we prepare for a future where technology, AI, and digital culture reshape how we parent and how our children live?

These are the conversations that will define the years ahead—conversations Modern Parenting is committed to nurturing. And as we look toward 2026, readers can expect something new, something exciting, and something built exactly for these evolving discussions.
