Unsurprisingly, the announcement struck a nostalgic chord. Parents who once rushed home to catch Big Bird and Elmo are now thrilled to introduce the same familiar faces to their own kids—this time on a screen that fits right in their pocket.

Even YouTube joined the celebration, commenting, “Welcome to the neighborhood,” while fans applauded the move. One viewer wrote, “Thank you for evolving and adapting. YouTube is probably the right platform for this.”

And they’re not wrong. For modern families, YouTube has become a go-to platform for educational content—especially when it’s thoughtful, trusted, and parent-approved.
