Grab your popcorn! Watch any movie in participating theaters nationwide for just Php 100 on September 12
There was a time when family bonding naturally meant heading to the neighborhood theater, grabbing a bag of popcorn, and catching the latest blockbuster together. Over recent years, rising ticket prices have led many families to swap the big-screen experience for streaming at home.
For one day, families get a budget-friendly reason to return to the theater. The Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP) announced that on September 12, participating cinemas nationwide will offer a special rate of Php 100 per ticket across both local and international films.

A Nationwide Celebration of the Big-Screen Experience
According to CEAP, this one-day event is designed to reignite the magic of theatergoing for Filipino families and film enthusiasts alike.
“This is more than a promotional event. It is a nationwide celebration of cinema and an invitation for Filipinos of all ages to experience the excitement, emotion, and community of watching movies on the big screen,” shared CEAP President Irene Jose.
CEAP Chairperson Karen Zabaljauregui highlighted the initiative’s goal to reconnect audiences with a cherished cultural pastime: “It has always been part of our entertainment culture for decades. The Filipinos, at the very heart of it, still love cinema. We just want to keep giving them reasons to come back.”
What to Watch and How to Book
Tickets are available for purchase online through participating cinema websites, mobile apps, and ticket counters.
The special rate applies to a wide selection of films, including notable local releases from earlier this year. Moviegoers can look forward to catch-up screenings such as Home Along Da Riles: The Reunion, which originally premiered in June, and the award-winning Cinemalaya entry Mag-Iina.
The Ultimate Weekend Binge-Watch
At just Php 100 a ticket, National Cinema Day offers an accessible way to unplug, take a break from the weekly grind, and immerse yourself in different worlds.
Cinema remains one of the most comforting spaces to unwind with loved ones—even if just for a couple of hours.
