A Fun Family Trip to The Cabin Resorts
Looking for a fun place to bring your kids? The Cabin Resorts offers laidback accommodations decked out in woods and lush greens.
It was such a relief to find another place to bring the kids—especially with the ever-changing restrictions and quarantine guidelines during the pandemic. We’ve stayed in The Cabin Resorts in their Loft Cabins before—pre-pandemic, that is—and have enjoyed the laidback feel of the place. That’s why I was so happy to return to The Cabin Resorts with my kids at the beginning of their school summer break.
Of Cozy and Laidback Vibes
When we visited before, they had 5 Loft Cabins available for guests to stay in. And as the name suggests, it’s designed like a loft, where the living room and dining room are located on the ground floor, while the upper floor houses the bedroom. These cabins can fit 6 to 8 guests comfortably. Plus, it also has a veranda facing the man-made lake, where guests can try fishing while enjoying the fresh, cool breeze.
New Accommodations: Deluxe Cabins
During our stay before, we saw that they were building additional smaller cabins. They were also digging up what looked like a potential pool. Ever since then, we were looking forward to seeing these new additions to the resort.
The eight smaller chalets are now built and are called Deluxe Cabins, which can fit 2 to 3 guests each. Looking at it from the outside, I was not sure how spacious it would be and was worried that it might feel cramped inside. But to our surprise, the Deluxe Cabins are actually still spacious inside even for three guests.
The Deluxe Cabin rooms were styled in a similar way to the Loft Cabins. They came with a double bed for 2 guests. And if you have a 3rd companion by any chance, you can request for an additional mattress to be prepared. There’s a beanbag for you to chill in and a modern rug on the floor to decorate the space, too.
Moreover, the room comes with a mini fridge and television for your enjoyment. Plus, there’s a small veranda where you can chill on the beanbags or opt to have your meals in if you don’t want to eat in their resto-bar.
Basking in the Sunset Pool
My kids, however, were less excited about the room. From the moment we arrived, they already wanted to go to the new pool. The resort had named it the Sunset Pool, and rightly so! After all, you can easily enjoy watching the sunset while relaxing there.
Best of all, the kids absolutely loved playing in the pool! It has a nice shallow area where they lay on the sunbeds. And a couple of steps down, you can get into the slightly deeper parts. It’s definitely a pool for chilling out and having fun.
Delicious Eats at the Resto-bar
But soon after all that playing, my kids wanted to get fed next, as they were hungry from the drive from Manila. So, we headed to the Clubhouse—located near our cabins. There, you can find the resort’s resto-bar and the main original pool.
The resto-bar’s menu has the usual Filipino favorites like pancit (which my kids absolutely loved! They ordered it several times during our stay!), pork BBQ, pinakbet, sisig, and so on. They also serve pasta and sandwiches, which were a big hit with the kids, too. Their prices were very reasonable, so I was not too worried when my kids kept ordering by themselves every time they wanted a snack.
Most guests have their meals in their own cabins. After all, the Loft Cabins have their own dining table inside, along with one by the veranda. That way, you have an option to dine inside or outside. On the other hand, the Deluxe Cabin guests have a table set up outside, so they can enjoy their meals there if they choose to.
But during our stay, we took our meals at the resto-bar so that we could enjoy the beautiful open view of the rice field around us. Look around and it’s just greens and blues surrounding you. A lovely view indeed!
Fun Activities at The Cabin Resorts
After lunch, you can find your own sunbed and chill by the pool deck. When the sun is out, most of the guests are in their airconditioned cabins, so that was our favorite time to hang out. Because then, we’d have the place to ourselves!
Aside from some poolside fun, there were many activities at The Cabin Resorts, which my kids enjoyed. They loved riding the ATV around the graveled pathway, testing their skills with archery, fishing, and even paddling with the kayak in the man-made lake.
And finally, you can book your own bonfire, which is always a hit with little ones! Your bonfire will be set up right by your cabin and it’ll include some marshmallows that you can roast!
Overall, it was definitely a day filled with wonderful, yet simple fun for the whole family. And we truly enjoyed our stay. That’s why we always look forward to another visit to The Cabin Resorts.
