Cedrick Juan Becomes a Father: “We Will Relearn Life With You”

Actor Cedrick Juan is now a dad.
He shared on Instagram that he and his wife, actress Kate Alejandrino, welcomed their son, Jose Rocio Likha, on June 18. The announcement came on a double milestone—Cedrick’s birthday on June 26, making the moment even more meaningful.
Cedrick to his son: “Nakatitig Lang Ako Sa’yo”
In a heartfelt message addressed to his newborn son, Cedrick reflected on the emotional moment of becoming a father.
“Unang iyak mo pa lang, namangha na ako sa tinig mo,” he wrote. “Maraming nangyayari sa paligid pero nakatitig lang ako sa’yo. Puno ng galak ang puso at kaluluwa dahil sa wakas ay mahahawakan, mahahalikan, mayayakap at mabubuhat ka na namin, anak.”
He added, “We will RELEARN life with you, Jose Rocio Likha Alejandrino Juan.”
Cedrick also paid tribute to his wife, expressing deep admiration and gratitude: “Mahal, salamat sa araw-araw na pagsasama. Sa mga bagong aral at pagbabago na nararapat na matutunan para sa mas makabuluhan at makulay pa na kasalukuyan para sa ating pamilya.”
Honoring Motherhood
The Himala ni Nino actor praised Kate’s strength throughout her pregnancy and childbirth, underscoring his respect for all mothers.
“Sobrang bilib ako sa tapang at lakas mo para makayanan ang siyam na buwan na pagbubuntis at pagluwal sa ating anak. Iba kayong mga babae at mga ina—hindi sapat ang mga salita kung gaano kita, kayo hinahangaan.”
“Tara, pagtrabahuhan natin ang mga pangarap ng magkakasama.”
Cedrick and Kate’s journey has been unfolding in beautiful milestones. In February, the couple announced their engagement, followed shortly by an intimate wedding. Now, they are stepping into a new role together—as first-time parents.
On Stage and Screen
While Cedrick is now focused on fatherhood, his star has been steadily on the rise. He made a special appearance last year in The Kingdom as the young Makisig and was also part of TV5’s Himala ni Nino.
Before taking on the role of Padre Jose Burgos in GOMBURZA, he built his craft onstage and onscreen—appearing in productions like Die Beautiful (2016) and various theater roles.
In a 2024 interview with Vogue Philippines, Cedrick reflected on how his theater roots have shaped his artistry: “Theater teaches you to be vulnerable in any circumstance,” he said. “It’s food for the soul.”
And now, that same vulnerability finds new ground in real life, as he takes on his most personal and powerful role yet: fatherhood.
