Friday the 13th: the TV series
Friday the 13th: The TV series is part of the Friday the 13th movie franchise, although the characters are different from the film. In the TV show, cousins Micki and Ryan inherit an antique store and sell all the antiques until Jack, a friend of the owner tells them the antiques are cursed. In its three seasons, the protagonists find themselves hunting all the antiques to lock them in a vault in the store.
Twilight Zone TV series
Twilight Zone first aired its TV series in 1959 and ended in 1964. A second series was aired from 1985 to 1989 followed by two more seasons from 2002-2003 and 2019-2020.
The Addams Family
No list would be complete without the Addams family. The beloved horror family has spawned a TV series animated film, live-action movies, and a spin-off called Wednesday.
The Munsters
The Munsters was a TV sitcom from 1964 to 1965 about a family composed of Frankenstein Eddie Munster, Lily, his vampire wife, and their werewolf son-like Eddie. The Scariest Places on Earth is a paranormal TV show aired from 2000 to 2006 and hosted by Linda Blair, known for her appearance in The Exorcist. The show spotlights hunted places, including families taking on the challenge of doing paranormal work.
Scream movies
Wes Craven’s Scream has become one of the most watched and successful film franchises. It made actress Neve Campbell, who rose to fame in the show Party of Five an icon in the slasher/horror genre.
Charmed
Charmed has become a phenomenon for its empowering message for women. It tells the story of three sisters – Prue, Piper, and Phoebe, who discover they are the Charmed ones, the most powerful Wiccan sisters. Following Prue’s death, Piper and Phoebe discover that they have a half-sister named Paige, born out of forbidden love from their mother and her white lighter.
