Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre Returns to Set for New Episodes

Bianca Umali, Kelvin Miranda, and Angel Guardian tease exciting developments in the fan-favorite fantasy series

Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre is getting a new chapter! On Wednesday, September 17, the cast—Bianca Umali, Kelvin Miranda, and Angel Guardian confirmed they are back on set to film new episodes for the show.

“Kami ay back on set na ngayon. Dahil we are very grateful dahil sa pagmamahal ‘nyo sa amin, mga Encantadiks,” Bianca told GMA News.

“Kaya ang Encantadia Chronicles ay may bagong yugto.”

A spin-off of the iconic Encantadia series that first aired in 2005, Sang’gre continues the legacy of the original sisters who guarded the elemental gems. The fantasy franchise was revived in 2016 for a new generation, and now returns with a fresh storyline and a new set of chosen gem keepers.

What to Expect in the Next Episodes

Bianca, who plays Terra in the series, says the positive response from fans has encouraged the team to level up their storytelling.

“Mas naging enganyo kami na paghusayan at pagandahin pa. Kasi alam namin na meron na mga manonood na nakatutok at nakaabang,” she shared.

During their recent appearance on Unang Hirit, the three stars were asked what fans can expect in the coming weeks.

“Napakarami kasi ngayon mapapanood ‘nyo kung paano kami sinasanay para maging ganap na tagapangalaga ng mga brilyante,” Bianca teased.

One storyline that fans are closely watching is the budding dynamic between Adamus, Alena’s son and the new keeper of the water gem, and Deia, a warrior from Mine-a-ve chosen by the wind gem.

Kelvin, who plays Adamus, gave a hint: “Kailangan nilang abangan ‘yung journey ng pagkakilala ni Deia at ni Adamus—kung sila ba ay magkakatuluyan o pawang haka-haka lang dahil sa pagkakaibang personalidad at pagkatao ni Deia.”

The Training Begins for the New Gem Keepers

Now that the four new chosen keepers are together, their journey as protectors of Encantadia begins.

After escaping Lireo, Deia, now considered a traitor by Mitena (played by Rhian Ramos), is flown by a griffin to Asilades, where she finally meets the others. She seeks help, but Pirena rejects her. Flamarra later reveals that Deia is Olgana’s daughter, further irritating Pirena.

Amid the tension, the Akashic—a magical book hidden under Imaw’s orders—suddenly opens. Four signs emerge and affix themselves to Terra, Adamus, Flamarra, and Deia, marking them as the new elemental keepers. Deia is puzzled why the wind gem chose her.

Still unwilling to trust her, Pirena instructs Soldarius to remove Deia, but a gust of wind intervenes. Adamus promises to watch over Deia, and Pirena reluctantly agrees, warning him that any consequences will be his responsibility.

Later, Terra reminds Pirena that sometimes, it’s not blood ties but heart and loyalty that matter most. On their way back to their hideout, Pirena hits a trap—but Deia saves them by deflecting the arrows with her powers.

Surprised by Deia’s abilities, Pirena finally agrees to train them all. This marks the beginning of their transformation into the new guardians of the elements.

As the training begins, a new set of problems arises after Zaur (Gabby Eigenmann) kills the gabay-diwas Sari-a (earth), Agua (water), and Avilan (air) after trying to steal the three brilyantes under Mitena’s care. How will the four new keepers respond to the danger?

Fans Are Looking Forward to the New Adventure

There’s plenty to look forward to as Sang’gre continues its run. With the training arc underway and filming in progress, fans can expect deeper storylines, new alliances, and exciting revelations in the episodes to come.

As Bianca, Kelvin, and Angel have hinted, we’re just getting to the heart of this new adventure—and the magic of Encantadia is far from over.

FAQs: Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre

Sang’gre continues the legacy of the original sisters who guarded the elemental gems. The fantasy franchise was revived in 2016 for a new generation, and now returns with a fresh storyline and a new set of chosen gem keepers – Terra, Adamus, Deia, and Flamarra.

Sang’gre primarily focuses on Terra (Bianca Umali), the daughter of Danaya, who was raised in the mortal world and destined to be Encantadia’s savior. She learns of her destiny when her Ashti Pirena (Glaiza de Castro) returns to the mortal world to seek her help after Encantadia falls under Mitena’s (Rhian Ramos) reign.

Other characters are Flamarra (Faith da Silva), daughter of Pirena and the destined fire gem keeper, Adamus (Kelvin Miranda), Alena’s son, who was bestowed with the water gem, and Deia (Angel Guardian), the warrior from Mine-a-ve who was chosen as the keeper of the wind gem.

The four kingdoms – Lireo, Sapiro, Adamya, and Hathoria are still part of the story. But in Sang’gre, we are introduced to Mine-a-ve, a kingdom in the north that’s ruled by Mitena, who vows to take revenge on the people of Encantadia and her sister Cassiopeia, the first queen of Lireo.
