Faith Da Silva Reunites With Father Dennis Da Silva
GMA actress Faith Da Silva and her brother Silas got an advance Christmas gift when they finally met their father, former actor Dennis Da Silva, who is confined in jail.
After many years, Actress Faith Da Silva and her brother Sila finally got to meet their father, former actor Dennis Da Silva who is currently in prison. On Wednesday, December 20, the Tiktoclock host shared a photo of the reunion that happened in Muntinlupa City.
“Thank you, God for this heart-warming gift this Christmas. Grateful for @kuyakim_atienza and General Gregorio Catapang for making this happen,” she captioned the photo.
Her brother Silas also shared his take on visiting and meeting their dad. “It took me 22 years to build up enough courage and forgiveness to finally get to meet my father. I learned so much about myself through just watching him and hearing him talk. so much running through my mind I just want to move forward and focus on loving and healing.”
“Thank you Lord for making this happen and salamat for a very memorable holiday. There’s nothing like coming home to family,” he added.
Like his sister, Silas thanked Kim Atienza and General Catapang for the opportunity to see their dad.
GMA Sparkle Center—the talent management of Faith—also shared a video of the moment they got to embrace.
Meeting Dennis for the First Time
In an interview on 24 Oras, Faith has long forgiven her father. She always told herself that she was complete despite not being with him until she felt his hug. “Iba pala makaramdam ng yakap ng isang ama. It felt like nung bata uli ako na I have been longing for it, na matagal kong pinagdasal,” she said.
“Now that I felt it, ang sarap mabuhay. Ang sarap to give love [and] receive love sa tatay ko.“
For now, Faith said that she and her brother are happy where their relationship with their dad.
On top of her hosting stint, Faith is set to star as Flamara in the upcoming Encantadia Chronicles called Sang’gre next year.
