Our God’s Gift: Feliz Lucas Welcomes 5th Child Mateo
Entrepreneur Feliz Lucas and her husband Jay Jay welcomed their 5th child, named Mateo, over the Holy Week
Content creator and entrepreneur Feliz Lucas is a mom again. On April 18, she and her husband, Jay Jay Lucas, welcomed their fifth child, Mateo. The arrival of Mateo made Feliz reminisce about her daughter Caitie, who died a few years ago.
“Nine years ago, on resurrection Sunday, our firstborn Caitie went to Jesus. Today, this resurrection Sunday, we celebrate the birth of our 5th and last child Teo, born on the eve of Good Friday when my water bag ruptured,” she wrote on Instagram on April 20.
“Circle of life nga talaga. God is good and God is with us. Mateo, our God’s gift, as a family, we wonderfully declare that Joshua (Yehoshua), God is our salvation.”
While many things have happened, she said, “The Lord is so good. And boast about His grace and mercy.”
Feliz said she was resting for now and thanked everyone for the messages she and her family received after Teo’s arrival.
Jay Jay’s story
Before Feliz’s story, Jay Jay was the first to announce Teo’s arrival. On the night of the birth, he wrote that they went to the hospital; she was already having contractions.
“They decided immediately to bring Mochi out! 2:14 am, he came out on April 18, 2025!” he wrote of his son.
“Still shocked how fast things transpired, but thankful that both of them are ok! Thankful for the doctors, nurses, family, and prayers!”
Caitie In Their Hearts
Although Caitie is gone, Feliz told Modern Parenting last March that she and the family will always honor her despite the grief she has gone through.
“If you know where your truth and strength lie, from the one who has given you the most strength, then that makes you a strong woman. That makes you a strong mother. So it’s not about ‘I can do it all’ – it’s about ‘I need help and I can’t do it all and I need to get my strength from the one who’s unlimited,’” she said.
