Remember Hanson? They Are Back and are All Dads Now!

Zac, Taylor, and Isaac skyrocketed with their hit song “MMMBop” 25 years ago. They’re now back with a new album and spending time with their respective families.

People of the 90s would definitely know the group Hanson composed of brothers Isaac, Taylor, and Zac. The boys from Oklahoma made waves in the music scene thanks to their song “MMBop” and their album Middle of Nowhere. Other hits from the album include “Where’s the Love” and “I Will Come to You.”

Although they have been touring and have released eight albums, Hanson has remained under the radar for quite some time. Now 25 years later, they recently granted an interview with People Magazine and shared a few details of their new music and life as fathers.

The Hanson brood has 15 children in total

The brothers have a lot of children—a total of 15. Isaac has 3 kids with his wife Nicole. Meanwhile, Taylor has 7 children with his wife Natalie. Lastly, Zac has 5 children with his wife Kate.

“We’re married to amazing women. And they match our personalities very well because we’re not at all the same,” says Zac.

It was clear that family comes first during the interview with People. Taylor had to excuse himself to take one of his kids to a music festival where she was going to perform.

Being a dad is a priority

Although they have been touring, daddy duties are their main priorities. In the interview, Taylor said, “The job of being a dad is to sacrifice everything you want for that kid. I may be in the middle of meeting some famous musician. But sorry, I’ve got to call my daughter and talk to her about her day.”

Hanson on their new album Red, Green, Blue

Last May 20, the brothers released their latest album Red, Green, Blue. “Red, Green, Blue is an interesting project because it’s not something that I think at a different time in our career would make sense,” Zac shares.

“But sitting here, you know celebrating 30 years of being a band and really in a place where you’re so established as an entity, as an identity that you really start to have deeper conversations than just, ‘Here’s a new album.'”

The brothers were also heavily involved in the making of the album. Each of them wrote 5 songs. Zac said they’re excited for their fans to listen to the album saying they’ll discover the distinctive sounds of each brother.

“I think what’s important about Red, Green, Blue is not just we are 30 years in and it takes a unique way to talk about the band. But it’s also a way for people to rediscover the band,” Isaac says. “It’s hard to get first looks when you have been doing this for so long. So Red, Green, Blue for me is like a way to say, ‘Hey how about a new look about this band.'”
