Iza Calzado and Ben Wintle Formally Introduce Daughter Amihan to Followers

As their daughter Amihan turns three months, Iza Calzado and Ben Wintle show her face to the public for the first time.

After announcing the birth of their daughter Deia Amihan, Iza Calzado and Ben Wintle shared the first photos of their baby. She turned three months old on Wednesday, April 26.

“Our little seedling is growing fast. As you turn 3 months old today, we set the intention of nurturing you so that you reach your fullest potential and fulfill your divine purpose in this world. By God’s grace, your future is brighter than we could ever imagine!” Iza wrote.

Several of the couple’s friends including Anne Curtis, Sharon Cuneta, Solenn Heussaff, and Nikki Gil gushed over the photos of Amihan.

Amihan, who Iza and Ben lovingly call Bunbun, was born last January 26.

Challenges of motherhood

Iza is slowly returning to showbiz commitments and recently shared some of her first-time experiences as a mother. In one of her recent posts, she recalled her postpartum journey. She mentioned there were instances she would get frustrated in breastfeeding her child.

In an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Iza shared that when she gave birth to Amihan, she had to undergo a CS delivery. And going offline was one of the best decisions in her journey.

“It was good to just focus on her. Because there are still a lot of things to understand about what’s happening to us. It was a challenging time. I had CS (cesarean) delivery and was dealing not only with things about being a new mom but also with certain health issues at one point. It’s a good thing that I stepped away first,” she said.
