Jayda Avanzado Does Her Version of Mom Jessa Zaragoza’s Song Bakit Pa
Singer Jayda Avanzado performed her version of her mom’s classic song, “Bakit Pa,” and her mom loved it!
Jayda Avanzado, daughter of Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado has been carving her name in the music industry. This Halloween, Jayda not only dressed up as her mom at a party but released a version of Jessa’s classic song “Bakit Pa” which skyrocketed her career in the late 90s.
“Last na ‘to. Highly requested. Huling pasabog for #Halloween2024,” she wrote on Instagram on November 2.
Not only did she give her own take on her mom’s song, but she also dressed up like her mom from the music video.
Several of her friends loved it and of course, her mom had her reaction to it!
“HAHAHA GRABE ‘to!!! ” Jessa commented. “Anak inaral mo lahat ha pati hinga?! AMAZING!!! kuhang kuha lahat!!! Grabe kayo!!!”
Aside from the music video, Jayda also did a photo shoot, recreating her mom’s album covers.
“I got the theme for #ShakeRattleandBall, (Icons, Legends and Freaks), I just knew it was the perfect time to put into motion this idea for a shoot that I’ve had for a year now,” she wrote. “I thought it was only fair to pay tribute to the first icon I’ve ever known; my Mama or as people know her, the Phenomenal Diva: Jessa Zaragoza.”
She’s not just any singer
Although blessed with a voice like her mom and dad’s, Jayda has been making a name for herself in the entertainment business for several years. Aside from her singing career, She has appeared on ASAP Natin To and was part of the teen drama Teen Clash.
Aside from touring with her parents, Jayda also released her new album Sad Girl Hours.
Back in July, Dingdong Avanzado shared how important to him that he share his perspectives to his only child.
“Looking at my past, yung sinasabi nilang pangbayad utang… i don’t let that take over,” he told Boy Abunda. “I make sure na kinakausap ko si Jayda and I always present to her from the perspective of a guy. Para alam din niya what runs in a guy’s head.”
Jayda and her parents recently wrapped up a tour in the US and Canada for their Sa Aking Puso: The North American Tour.
