Sustaining The Mind and Body: Jollibee Brings Values To Every Kids Meal
Together with Adarna House, Jollibee debuts its Values Meal to help families introduce and engage their kids with Filipino family values
With so many voices in the world, how does a family know which one reflects their values the best?
While schools teach these values through GMRC, books still play a vital role in reinforcing these at home. And what better way to do it than to have beloved mascots become the main characters of these stories? Jollibee and Adarna House come together with a way to make sure the values education is widespread: the new Jollibee Kids Values Kids Meal!
Every Kids Values Meal comes with a book, a fun activity, and a sticker badge that serves as a reward to help the ball rolling at home.

“Going Back To Basics”
The world is always changing and sometimes, it’s difficult to tell if they’re for better or worse.
Even more so for something as abstract as morality and ethics. The choices we make are not always completely right or wrong, depending on the context. But that can be a lot to take for a kid. That’s why it’s up to us, parents, to build that foundation—with books, activities, and conversations at the table.
Each book in the Values Meal reflects a core Filipino value: responsibility (responsable), generosity (mapagbigay), respect (marespeto), honesty (matapat), and compassion for nature (malasakit sa kalikasan). It’s also a perfect Buwan ng Wika activity; the stories are written in both English and Filipino. And with children as the main characters, it’ll be easier for them to relate.

Knowing that there are books that emphasize values can ease a parent’s mind. “Especially when we’re competing with so many voices,” adds Jollibee’s Vice President of Marketing and mom of two Dorothy Dee-Ching. “It’s good to have something that we, parents, can use as a reference in teaching our kids good values.”
The debut of the books received support also from the Department of Education’s secretary, Sonny Angara, who attended the event.

Raising “Good” Children In A Complex World
As systems and society become more intricate, every decision—moral or not—can feel like an exhausting course of mental gymnastics. And while we, as adults, have some practice, our kids still rely on us as their moral compass. The era when morality was decided by “because I said so” is long over. Kids of today question these values more than ever. Not because they’re naughty, but out of genuine curiosity.
And so when those questions do come, make sure these values books are at your disposal!
