Kris Aquino Shares Latest Update on Her Medical Condition
Despite battling several autoimmune diseases, Kris Aquino continues to stay strong. “2024, please be kind,” she writes in her social media post.
Kris Aquino has been in the US for medical treatment due to several immune diseases she was diagnosed with. After a social media break, Kris posted reel updates showing her medical condition and visits from friends. Here’s what we know so far.
Sharing updates on social media
On January 21, Kris posted a reel that showed her having an injection, alongside photos of people who visited her—including actresses Bela Padilla and Kim Chiu. In her post, Kris captioned: “Explains and answers almost everything that has happened and is happening. 2024, please be kind.”
This was followed by a second reel of Bela and Kim. It also showed the status of her condition and her cooking a meal.
In the last reel, Kris shared that her weight has been going up and down. She later confirmed that she was tested again and was informed of having signs of lupus.
Kris added she is taking another round of medication to combat this disease. “We have a merciful and loving God who hears our prayers. My battle has become more complex, BUT I promised my sons and my sisters I won’t be a wimp. And I’m promising all my friends plus all who continue to pray for me: bawal sumuko, tuloy pa rin ang laban.“
A rollercoaster health journey
Since being based in the US, Kris would occasionally share updates on her health on social media. This includes photos of her and her sons, plus visits from close friends.
Most recently, Kris hinted that her son Bimby might return to the Philippines after her birthday—telling Cristine Calawod of Cornerstone: “He needs to work because my medical bills are already getting higher and higher. But Tin, the stage mom is already saying NO to a name change. He’ll stay as Bimb. No last name, like Drake.”
It’s unclear yet what’s in store for Bimby when he returns. But for now, we wish a speedy recovery for Kris.
